In the case of Spanish houses of ill repute, they`re sometimes known as “clubs” that are usually sited on the main drag at either end of town, & sometimes adjacent to cheap “hotels” or truck stops
I can thank a mate for booking a room at the “hotel” several years ago while we where en-route south on the motorcycles, only to find out that the club next door was ye olde knocking shoppe.
The hotel staff, and waitresses worked in the hotel during the day, that worked the club at night. The constant sound of locals screeching up to the club at 3am blasting music out served to point out the real role of the hotel and club

We woke up in the morning having been robbed, 2 weeks worth of holiday cash gone. As had another 4 cabins in the car. None of the cabins had heard anything, seen anything, felt anything. None of the locks were broken. It was all very eerie
While I don’t pretend to know exactly what happened. I can say that on the police report filed with our insurance company our family was described as “incapacitated”.

Well at twelve you were hardly drunk on the local vino! Very frightening experience all the same.
there are some people who will never beleave that gassing takes place until it happens to them. i personally know 2 lads that have bean gassed neither had wasted there running money in bag houses or on beer and both were done in Belgium
Travelling to Bulgaria with my worldly belongings in my van, trailer, caravan and car we were stopped on Fernthal services on the a3 and were robbed while we slept in the caravan, my partner who can usually hear a mouse ■■■■, heard nothing. Neither of us had a headache apart from the dreadful feeling of losing so much money and personal items.
The drivers who were weekending there were a great help and we did recover some items which were thrown away as the robbers left the scene.
So is gassing possible? I think its possible to keep a sleeping person sleeping either with some sort of gas or with the dexterity of a ninja.
The problem I always have with these gas attack stories is that there simply isn’t such a thing as “knockout gas”, except in 1960s Batman programmes on television. Chemistry is a fairly well understood science and it seems unlikely that criminals have discovered a chemical which has eluded scientists for over a decade.
At one stage the rumour was that the criminals used cans of Easy-Start, squirted in through the night heater intake. There have never been reports of empty cans of Easy-Start being found in lay-bys or service areas, every truck I have ever driven has had the night heater intake inside the cab, so that seems a fairly easy theory to debunk.
Above all though, if you had a foolproof method of rendering people unconscious while you plundered them at your leisure, surely you would target more than a pay-as-you-go mobile phone, a few hundred quid of running money and a lorry driver’s dirty underwear?
but after reading the whole thread that was linked to up there ^ I reckon that Winseer’s knowledge of chemicals, and their delivery methods, to render unconscious is mildly troubling.
about 11 years ago while I was doing euro work, I was possibly gassed and there was an attempt to rob me while parked up in Belgium.
the events goes like this:
having done a good days drive about 9 hrs and well under 13 hrs duty I parked up in a layby, now I don’t drink or partake in funny substances.
I made myself some food and decided to get an early night and crack off in the morning after a 9 hr break. after 3 hrs being asleep I was woken up by someone shining a torch in through the lower cab window on the old Eurostar that I was driving, for those of you that don’t know the main curtains only covered the top side window and you had a second piece of curtain you had to Velcro onto that to cover the bottom, which was missing on this heap that I was driving at the time,
the door lock you could open with a small coin so I use to ratchet strap the doors together at night for my own piece of mind.
I got out of bed and pulled the driver side curtain back to see who was there and to basically tell them to shove off, as I lent on the door it opened about 2 inches as it had been unlocked, I shouted at the 2 guys outside and they disappeared down past the trucks parked in the layby in front of me, I pulled the door shut and tighten the strap best I could relocked the door and went back to bed.
Now I have never slept more than 6/7 hrs a night for years, and fell back to sleep only to wake up 12 hrs later, sleeping right through my alarm clock which was loud enough to wake the dead. when I did wake I found the door unlocked again and partly open and I felt like crap for 4/5 hrs.
now I cannot say for definite that I was gassed that night but the sleeping on and the feeling I had when I did wake makes me think I might of been. it was the one and only time it happened to me so I don’t know
I am a very light sleeper, I had the trailer curtains cut open and three pallets of Zippo lighters taken while asleep. I never felt or heard a thing,and I did wake up with an extremely ‘muzzy’ head that morning. So much so that it took me a fair while to get my head together.
This happened 7 years ago, I have no explanation for why I slept through the incident when normally I would wake at the slightest truck movement or noise. I’m not claiming I was gassed, as to this day I really cannot explain it. Yes I was arrested and interviewed some weeks after the incident, but no charges were brought against me thankfully. Just the insurance company looking for a scapegoat.

No but they are not 100% sure they were gassed either…
They were robbed I’m not disputing that but no one can be 100% they have been gassed when we don’t even know if it’s possible

They were robbed I’m not disputing that but no one can be 100% they have been gassed when we don’t even know if it’s possible
