G4S Manchester.

Hi

ANYONE Know where the Manchester Depot is ?

ASAP … Thanks

Looked Online but no joy.

If its the Cash depot its Tallyman Way in Agecroft Commerce Park…used to deliver there. Big massive place that looks like fort knox. Go to the WHITE barriers and not the BLACK ones. Good luck with the interview.

pmsl

going to be in charge of shed loads of cash and you lost the address

sorry mate  is this the job…

Group 4 Securicor Ltd
Agecroft Business Park, Tallyman Way, Pendlebury, Swinton, Manchester, Lancashire M27 8UE
Tel: 0161 742 3700

Scribbled it on a taco and its
probably binned with the rest of my dodgy taco,s lol

I think i know where it is right next door to a telecom warehouse.

They phoned whilst i was hand balling
(so not in the most receptive of moods lol…)

and i tried to
confirm the details and the phone number
is one of those recorded messages

Thanks for all your help…

IF i get the job i,ll ask for
a note pad lol :unamused:

is it a driving job? if so you might do a driving assement on the day as well as an interview. The interview is ■■■■ easy, just basic questions about security. Driving assesment is also a doddle. a drive around the secure yard and your done.

Yes

Its a driving job.

I have a C+E but think it might be mainly transit work.

Have a new baby on the way in 8 weeks and need something steady
rather than agency.

Thanks again for all the help…
I knew you lot would know the address.

I felt sick when i realised
i misplaced the info.

Its a bit out of character.
But trying to sleep next to a 7 month pregnant woman,
Is impossible

They toss and turn all night
and are either too hot or too cold

Hope i get nights :smiling_imp:

lol, 'tis true.

I think in manchester you will only do nights on ATMs in the sprinters, although don’t quote me, as it may have changed. If you have CE you could do trunking work, its better pay, and you’ll get home every night. I used to work for them a year ago, decent to work for.

Hi

Will let you know how i get on.

Seems a interesting job,
and a stable company.

I can see lots of hours required.
and its no a job they can cover with temps too easily.

yip theres always overtime and they don’t let temps work 4 them cos of screening etc.

Its like everything else, you have your down days, all in all i loved it, but wanted back onto the nights out and long distance so i could get away from the missus for a while

Good luck

They were advertising in Bradford in September - £9.30 an hour i think, Loomis in Leeds are advertising now too., Class2 preferred

Hi
Had the interview today.

Not exactly as i expected.

The first comment was
“dont think you’ll be driving HGV,s the job is only for transit work”
not such a good start

£9.50 P/H
But that includes working every bank holiday ,
and evey other sat / sunday including nights

No extra premiums or shift allowance

So the wage isnt as good as i thought.

I have to wait a month for all the checks ,
So that means i,ve got a month to decide

Ohh yeah and 3 people last year were covered in petrol last year and
threatened to be burnt if they didnt open the van. :open_mouth:

30 stabbings and 1 shooting(in the groin) :open_mouth:

Welcome too Sunny Manchester :unamused:

used to work for them for years when they were securicor in dublin, and edinburgh, after the merger with group 4 as well, not a bad company to work for but its all down to the branch and the operations staff there, also manchesters one of the worst cities to do that job, think about it, is it worth getting stabbed / shot for 9 quid an hour?

at least in edinburgh theres never any trouble

i think the wages go up to about £10/hr for 7.5 tonne and £12 for hgv in june time because of a pay deal. sorry to say but manchester, belfast and birmingham are the worst areas for them getting attacked, i was forever waiting to get a baseball bat across the back of the next!! :open_mouth:

It takes forever for the checks to come through, and then your sent to coventry for training for about a week before you get out onto the road.

Yes i dont think the job is worth it.

I though because they wanted hgv drivers it would be more trunking than collecting.

Its dangerous enough delivering insulation around
Cheetham Hill never mind money.

Also you are sent on a weeks trainig course (paid for)

Burt if after 6 months i realise the job isnt for me.
I will get £500 docked from my wages to pay for their training.

So you cant even give it a go.

You either jump in at the deep end
or
Stay on the shore.

Phoning agency tomorrow to get some trunking work

i never had to go to coventry as i transferred from the dublin branch

if you can get onto the HGV work full time you’d be laughing, it is trunking, mostly local but you do pretty much nothing all day and youre pretty much never out of the truck in public so the risk of you being personally attacked is minimal

you have to consider hijack etc but its unlikely

thing is they wont leave you on HGV, you’ll get thrown around from transits to sprinters to trucks and back again, i remember one branch manager who was trying to get me to train up in another area when i was happy on my own set runs saying to me "we’re looking for - universal soldiers - "

quality stuff outta that bloke

Got a couple of mates who work there,
1 does CIT and loves it,
The other used to do CIT, got held up, got a nice bit of compo on the back of it and as a bonus moved up the management side of it.

PS - Stop calling my hometown

Not calling it.
But there are some places i wouldnt leave
half a packet of crisps on the car seat.

Its not as dangerous as it use to be.
Because most of the chavs walk about in pyjamas,
obviously too busy to get dressed nowadays.
So this makes it more difficult for them
to run of in slippers. :unamused:

Yeh…I should do…I’m one of the very unfortunate souls who works there !!!     Your more of an “inmate” there rather than an employee…just a number !! :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:
