Hi im an ex driver , lost my licence due 2 sleep apnea , now finding it impossible 2 find a job but thats another story , i used 2 work for g and g transport back in the 80s , a right shower !!! does anybody on ere know wat became of them ? also worked for sea transport another story ? any info on the 2 companys wld be appreciated . not my car licence i mite add ! can still drive a van so any nice chaps got a vacancy near clacton colchester im interested clean licence … added my pic not that im egotistical!! just so maybe potential bosses can see that although sleep apnea norm affects fat people im not overweight and still healthy apart from that …

not sure what u mean ? i dnt have a h g v 1 any more all i have is my car licence ? and like was posted on another thread, when all you have done 4 the last 25 yrs is driving trucks employers are not interested , and besides that its hard to find a job you can do when your 50 yrs old and all you know is haulage ?

Absolutely! Usually see pics like that followed by a load of nonsensical letters such as GSOH, MMNT, WLTM, non smoker, very clean and discreet.

Overworked underpaid so nothing new then eh! not bothered about knuckledraggers tryin 2 take ■■■■ , at least i have hair on my head unlike the majority of fellow comrades i used 2 work with, t b h i dont want my licence back , and they wont give it me back as i havent been cured of sleep apnea ,i will prob upset a lot of peeps on here when i say that i wish id never passed my hgv in the first place ,long hours boring job low pay no prospects . Actually when i first met my ex and she asked what i do 4 a job and i told her i was a class 1 lorry driver she didnt believe me ! she said i dont look like a lorry driver , i kinda took that as a compliment .

My dad drove for them later 80’s early 90’s.
I think they obviously went under a long time ago
I recall a C reg Volvo F16 my dad used to drive for them Loved that truck!!

At last a sensible reply woop woop ! yep i remember that f16 , i had a lowly fl10 ! they worked outa a bombsite in claydon , the boss gerry looked a bit like a grizzly bear ? trucks were not da best maintained in the world , i guess it no surprize they went bust ,i worked 4 michael kipps another dodgy operator , never had a o licence , and office in routemaster hotel , also i worked 4 a good firm ej podd out of the routemaster , had a fl10 reg num e536 nml and worked 4 sea transport , er not 1 of the best firms ■■?

I was only about 10/11 when I used to go out in truck with my dad, remember it breaking down quite often it was cool as a kid I just remember the sitting up high etc and what not … My dad left Les Samson to go there when he moved up to Lowesoft, I recall the old Leyland Martathon he had lol, no VOSA in the 80’s seemed to be so many dodgey companies about … surprised you lost your licence my mate has sleep apnea and he still drives buses in London he has the black box with the mask on. I think you need to go to a specialist to get your licence back.
