Hi discoman , actually i dont want my licence back ,i dont miss driving trucks 1 bit! even if i could get my licence back i wouldnt have a clue wat with all the new regs out now , driving hours digi tachos cpc and vosa etc , they put me on a machine to cure it a black box like u described , but within a week i returned it , i just could not sleep with having a mask attached all night ? it was really uncomfortable ? besides being a bit off putting if you have a girlfriend sharing your bed , not an attractive look lol! tbh i just wish id never passed my test , if i had never got in2 driving i prob would of had a decent career by now earning shedloads of money and a nice fat pension 2 look forward 2 , instead of wasting the best part of my life driving dirty old trucks around the country for little money in a dead end job ,sorry if this offends sum people but thats my views and your either a trucker or not , and i dnt think i was ever cut out to be a truck driver horses 4 courses so the saying goes ? :frowning:

LOL, trucks are the future, the present, and past.

Not all jobs are dirty, but the long hours away from home dodgey companies, your best off out of it … claim DLA and sit on dole, and watch JK, I would if I was back in England … beats driving a truck.

Thanx 4 reply , well i would rather be working , and unfortunately sleep apnea is not a regognised disability ,so you cant claim , all i get is j s a and i def dnt watch the j vile show ! 2 many chavs on there i see enuff out and about wivout having to watch em on telly, ive tyried multi drop van driving but value my licence to much to do that again ? unless you drive like an idiot then you cant do deliverys in time and fot the paltry wage they pay im not prepared to risk my licence ,unfortunately where i live in tendring essex there are very few jobs going , unless you want to work as a carer doing personal care , and having watched my father in his last few yrs being cared for that is a job i couldnt contemplate it would be to upsetting and bring bac k to many memories , apart from the fact they only earn the minumum wage and it is not a pleasant job ? its not easy when all you know is hgv driving and overnight your suddenly wivout a licence , and im 50 not like im in my teens where i can learn a trade an d start again …
