Hi everyone,
I’ve been to a couple of places but they only take drivers on via agency or offering night work.
I have applied for few places by email also but to no avail.
And if you don’t want to work for the big boys in rugby truck stop because they cancell your shifts, there is not much that agencies can offer you.
So I’ll appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction to find day work in and around Northampton or Milton Keynes.

Howdens on brackmills are good payers, they use agency and full time staff.
Maritime brackmills also pay well (speak to few lads on for them at docks) they only have full time drivers, don’t use any agency.

Frankly I’m shocked and stunned that you need to ask the question.
I was in Milton Keynes last week and was truly amazed at the amount of warehouses and distribution centres especially John Lewis, that must be one of the largest covered structures in the UK
Nft Sainsbury -short shift
Nft daventry some long shift ,some not.
Both have start time every hours
If via agency that ADR network.
Advance recruitment (or logistic) have plenty contract at different companies.
Thanks for the replyes guys,some good suggestions there.I’ll have look.It’s just that I have a newly born and don’t want to work nights or silly hours as I have done for last 18 years( driving and other).and trying to keep this relationship going a bit further.

as is John Lewis (same firm) different sites
I meant there are 2 waitrose sites in Milton Keynes, both are run by kuehne nagel. JL run their own transport.
