ok im near oxford ,wheres that safe to park on a34
If you re-read my post again! i have stated where i knock about. So if you are in Oxford it is down to you where you park and where you feel it is safe, or better get in touch with the local officer. As i tell the drivers when i speak to them, which is at the time there hours are coming up, i warn them about whats been going on and also give them my details. some of them move on to another parking area but on the A1 it is very limited.
It is down to the driver to plan ahead really
OK si im on the road and god forbid i expect the police to protect me , i run out of hours and park in a layby (cos this country has no need to provide proper facilities for lorry drivers to park in (i,e safe/secure/with showers/food and basic hygiene) SO I have TO PARK IN A LAYBY.

Hi Mickblue, I know where and who you work for also know alot of your collegues… My depot is on the left hand side just over the level crossing as you go towards Whittlesey, so know you know who I work for, the thing is we regularly have our diesel stolen from our vehicles, that is our problem but the police have done nothing to stop this, apart from send a couple of pcso 's round to make a report of this… Now I know as well as you who is more than likely doing this and for the ■■■■■ bashers sorry it’s not them, but unless these people are actually caught in the act it is very hard to get a conviction.
The police don’t do themselves any favours…until you really need one;-))))
