Last night in the foxhills industrial estate in Scunthorpe. Never heard a thing, looks like they spilt most of it on the road. The thiefs were kind enough to leave me a 1/4 tank.

Taking fuel that does not belong to you is ok.See my turn a blind eye post.Who took your is just trying to get by and put a crust on the dinner table. So it is none of your business if you saw them borrow your bosses fuel.
Toby, if I were you I would get out of the sun as it’s frying your brain
thanks for the heads up.i park there the odd time too
Sadly parking near Tesco is no safer - they did about 6 there last week.
there was a few done on the a1 at newark last night too
yes its a pain i the ■■■ havig your tank emptied but its a circle, how may of us can say 100% that if someone came along and offered cheap fuel for your own personnal use you would say no…

That’s not really a very good excuse for parking in fuel theft hot spot now is it!
And I suggest any driver that parks around Scunthorpe should watch a programme called SKINT on channel 4, and you may just realise it may not be who you think it is draining fuel there!
If your an owner driver trying to compete against the big boys, then I’ll feel sorry for you, if however you work for a firm with a few trucks I say it serves your boss/employers right for not paying parking, not only for the security of the load/truck but also so the driver has access to a toilet/shower/food is the least any boss can do when you have done a 13/15hr shift.
This is the problem, they have cut the rates that much they don’t have anything left for parking.
On the plus side at least you slept through I think it would be pretty scary waking up to a gang of gyppos/chancers who will no doubt have a weapon raiding your fuel tank

and all our bosses are driving 950 festas
or 1.2 corsas with a wide exhaust and a go faster stripe down the middle?
afraid not, they’ve all got tighter and jacker

I suppose what I should have said is they have cut rates so much there is nothing left for parking after the gaffer has taken his big slice of the pie
In the event of any robbery we are told to stay in the cab and dog and the rozzers. That is what insurance is for.A dead or injured driver for fuel or the load is no good and nobody will thank you for interveening. How do you know if they have a knife or a gun or worse acid to throw at you.
I don’t know if its any better but recently I’ve seen a few trucks parked within the boundary of the yeardly site, the one with the chill warehousing. Access via the gate opposite li-lo then following the site road round past the the container rental place. This is over the fence from the old Nisa

That’s why you fire it up and just drive off hopefully taking out their vehicle in the process.
