I’d never heard of it…

Night heater is a legal requirement under health and safety legislation
You wouldnt happen to be the guy the OP was talking to about roof heights would you? Or the guy who told me about the fridge?

Whether it is law or not (which I doubt) why would you do nights out for a boss who hasn’t given you a suitable lorry, if I am expected to night out then an absence of a night heater and the ability to stand up while getting dressed would mean no nights out.Has it got a bunk? Yes? It’s suitable then. Night heaters and high roofs are a luxury, not a necessity. What next? It’s not suitable because there’s no socket for my ipod
Apparently it’s not what the Germans think, No working night heater, no sleeping in van or truck in winter months they are also known to make random checks on parked vehicles
Hears the same about the Germans years ago and the Spanish with air con pods.
Some of the stuff you hear could be law in other parts of Europe but not in the UK I think that’s where part of the problem is
I know when my dad was doing Germany in the 70s, it was doing the rounds then that you had to have a night heater in winter - dunno whether it was genuine or just more driver bollicks
