That Hopeline truck must be overweight on the front axle with the Transcon badges :stuck_out_tongue:

They were a nice truck and everyone hankered after them when they were launched

Thanks for the pics guys. Do you mind if i put them on my site (credited to you)?

Please, if thats ok with you. Also, visit my site (in sig) for more Cargo stuff (soon to be updated with over 160 pictures).

Andy

Here’s a superficially tidy old one still earning money, it’s as it says a mobile welfare unit (canteen / toilet) used on site. Apparently it used to be classed as mobile plant and exempt from test but now rules have changed and it needs testing. As a result we now get to piggy back it.

i found this on the net a few years ago and saved it into my photobucket, i think it looks rather smart to be honest

This was my first ride all them year’s ago ,what fun we had delivering from north Yorkshire to Scottish borders.

bloody hell yella that one looks like robocargo!!!..

i have a few pictures of the new turkish cargo’s, are they of any interst to your site?

Sorry to bump this up, but the club has a news release:

I feel it is time to get the club moving again. I am looking into a better forum, and a better way of storing images. There is still a lot of interest out there for Cargo’s, so we need to get the word around.

I must also say sorry for the lack of input my end. This has been due to family circumstances changing and having little/no time to do anything on here. But thats about to change. I will be contacting more people about the club, and I hope I will start getting bits on-line from brochures etc.

Thanks once again for all understanding. If you have any questions, or any suggestions for the site, I will be setting up a post called “New Cargo Club” in the “General Chat” part of the forum.

Thanks to all those who still visit, and thanks to Scotty (previous owner of E757 YYB) for joining and supplying pics.

Chat to you all soon.

Also, has anyone got any more pictures/tales of Cargos they would not mind sharing?

Thanks

I have this photo in my collection. I have no idea who took it (if you did and you want it removing, please let me know)

Reg: J149 LKK

It looks like it has had an aftermarket cab extention fitted. I know you could get day cabs made into sleepers, but this looks like a sleeper, with one of these aftermarket jobbies on the back too.

Does anyone know who ran this and why? Is it still in existance.

According to the DVLA:

The vehicle details for J149 LKK are:

Date of Liability 01 01 2001
Date of First Registration 01 01 1992
Year of Manufacture 1992
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 0CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour WHITE
Vehicle Type Approval null

is e26 xrj,an ex ryder truck rental motor?,they had loads when i worked for them in the late 80"S and 90"s as a mechanic.if it was ,it used to have a box fitted with tail lift, like its sister trucks e24 xrj,and e21 xrj,in the familiar ryder yellow livery of old.

Geezah, I can see you collect all things Henry  so I’m just wondering if you can help out here? Iv’e borrowed this argos pic from bubbleman and ask if you have a similar one in Securicor livery, forerunners to Omega/DHL just to help complete a little project. Thanks…jim

In the meantime here are some scanned from 1985 truck drivers handbook with the double apology. The quality of the scanning and the copyright issues.

Cant imagine Argos having V8s these days can you
