Janos:
Can’t believe what I am reading here! Does the o/p expect the road to clear of law abiding drivers so he can speed with impunity, or until he hits something or his heart packs in? Artics overtaking each other on a single carriageway road is just nonsense, no matter how flat and straight it appears to the driver.
Where did I say I do flat out everywhere? All I want to know is why do people who “don’t break the speed limits” do 45mph, as it is breaking the speed limit, ok you its unlikely you’ll get a ticket but your still breaking the limit.
You can’t tell me you have NEVER gone over 40mph intentionally on a single carriageway.
I only get like you on last shift run for home, then it doesn’t matter what speed the car/van/trucks doing, there in my way so I’m ■■■■■■ off, other days of the week they can do what they like,I’m not bothered,as long as I get back, don’t have to sleep in a tin box,40/45/56 is fine with me, I just go with the flow.
N.b last shift is Saturday,so ifeveryone can stay off the roads that day,so I can run on the limiter all the way back to base I would be be eternally gratefull,
