FLM And Abusive Language

Rooster:
The driver he aimed his verbal bile to is a agency driver, who to be fair said to him, “You can’t talk to me like that, why have you done that ?”

The FLM replied,

“[zb] Off”

Not nice.

No, it isn’t nice. But personally I’d leave him to it. If he makes a habit of speaking to everyone like that then much sooner rather than later he is going to pick the wrong bloke and have plenty of time to consider his actions with his jaw wired up in hospital.

GOG47:
Can I ask what might seem a stupid question-what’s a FLM?

I must admit that I’ve been wondering the same thing.

[zb] loudmouthed moron??

Top answer

ringing the police is genuis. I’d love to see he face if the police actually turned up for a word!

Or, yes, you could hit him. Great idea. He get’s away scot free, and you’re a hard man! :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: In reality, you’ll be just as much of a ■■■■ as him because you have stooped to his level…only jobless too! :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Phoned the Police? Are you serious? Get a grip, look on eBay for a spine and some testicles!

classic! :grimacing:

The reason people have big foreheads is for problems like this.

Well, all this chin him ■■■■■■■■ is good fun and that but isn’t really going to get you anywhere is it? You’ll be sacked & charged with assault.

If it was me, I’d just walk out & get another job but I appreciate that’s not for everyone so just lodge a formal complaint to a higher up & see if you can get a few signatures.

Or as has been said if you’re agency just chuck the keys at him & do one.

If you get sacked you have more chance of getting the dole, if there are no witnesses you get away with assault.

Me too

■■■■■■■ loud mouth?

Have I just accidentally logged onto the loose women forum?

scotstrucker:
report it to someone further up the chain, if that cant be done then a swift hard slap round his earole should do the trick

No no no , the best way to bring someone like this to the ground is to grab hold off there ear and twist it as hard as you can. It’ll bring him on his knees and make him look a ■■■■■ People who scream and swear rarely are the type to hit back.

If his manner is that offensive walk out but phoning the police is a bit ott. If I rang the police everytime I was spoken too in a way I don’t like I’d be done for waisting police time, I either tell my boss to watch how he’s talking to me or just walk off and crack on with what I’m doing simples.

I normally just say pack it in I’ve been shouted at by bigger and harder than you.

10-15 years would anyone have been bleating on the internet about it !!, answer is no you would have either chined him and got another job, called him the same back or probably gone for a pint after work on friday told him he was a merchant banker and that was he end of it!! when did all this cuddly carp start ■■, did the true drivers of old expect a good boy pat every day and a bit of praise (no you just got on with it!!) (and checking with the police seriously has to be wind up!! if it isnt grow a pair!!)

This is a form of bullying and should not be tolerated, report it higher up the food chain

This should be the first port of call. He can report it or you can do it or whoever, as said its a form of bullying, gross mis-conduct etc and should be taken very seriously by higher management. If no joy from the next in line, keep going higher up the chain. If you get to the top ad still have no joy try I think something along the lines of an employment tribunal should sort him out.

If you put up with it people will start to think that it’s acceptable for him to act in this way. It is not. He should treat the people under his command with respect and dignity. We don’t live in the dark ages anymore, people have rights at work. Get it stopped before it escelates.

The second paragraph is bang on, but the first,… not so much.

When he swears at you, respond with a “Who the ■■■■ are you calling a ■■■■■■ Then explain that ‘if’ there’s a next time, there will be consequences, they could be a formal complaint, not necessarily a right hander. (some people wrongly assume standing up for yourself means giving someone a good hiding)

A clear message is then sent, a message that says you will not stand for it.

No need to involve managers or the law, one simple sentence, spoken with conviction and the problem goes away :bulb:
