Who are the truckers who when overtaken by a transit van flash it in as if its an artic? Why promote the myth that us truckers are thick. Please stop it…
let me guess, you drive a mini?
whats wrong with flashing people in all together??, i call it team work on the road.

Great response thanx sadly seems a majority of truckers are to thick to realise flashin in vans or cars is pointless, to the minority of sensible truckers keep on truckin, me iv gotta nice trunk to nairn tonite, not to many van flashers on A9. Laters…
I don’t bother flashing in vans as they are generally going a heck of a lot faster than me so there is little point, likewise puddle jumpers. In the day I don’t tend to flash many people in, only if they get clearly past me and don’t make a move to come back, then I’ll give them a flash, but most people are cutting your nose off before you even get chance to reach for the lights. Couple of random observations though, I think you can tell when a puddle-jumper is being driven by a car licence numpty and when it’s a proper driver downgrading for the day, the ones that go past you and leave a safe gap before pulling in are being driven by proper drivers
Also, who flashes in caravans? I do it based on the principle that they probably don’t tow very often and I would imagine it’s a bit of a struggle to see anything in those crappy little mirrors they have. Interestingly thus far every caravanner I have flashed in has thanked me.
Could’nt agree more Manowar, flashing in anything like a van or car seems like a sad, thick and futile pastime that serves no purpose other than to relieve a little of the boredom of driving. It makes me cringe with embarrasment.Stop it you sad prats.
Teeehee. I guess a lot of people do flash unecessarily to relieve boredom, but it’s a fairly harmless thing to do at the end of the day, although flashing is a lot more useful to some vehicles than others.
It always amuses me how on this particular forum, threads as inert as this one can end up polarising opinions and spark slagging matches.
If somebody in a van (a Transit is a product of Fix Or Repair Daily ) flashes me out then I’ll flash them back in, but generally I wouldnt…
Anyhow, how the hell did this thread get to 2 pages
When I was on vans, I was driving a transit drop-sider thing which was often at or over it’s weight. I quite often felt quite humbled by truckers flashing me in and it’s one of the reasons I decided to do this job. I don’t usually flash vans in unless they pass me slowly like another truck would - usually they’re past that quick that it’s obviously not needed.
The only people I nearly never flash in are camper vans, caravans and cars oh and coaches but that’s cos I’m jelous of them being “allowed” to do more than 56

You are correct , truckers are thick , some of us don’t know how to spell or nuffin innit !
For my two pence worth , as Grayham said earlier , if a van recognises the fact I need to go into lane two and flashes me out , as happens frequently , the driver will get a flash back from me as a thankyou. Does this make me a Dumbass ?
mmm wouldnt say this was a very productive post i think you may of alienated yourself from alot of members on here to say youve only just joined aswell on the subject in hand however i see nothing wrong with a quick flash wether it b a car van truck whatever i think sometimes its just common courtesy

Mate with spelling like that you really shouldn’t be insulting other people
With the poor spelling and the general lack of any sort of intellectual abilities that you’ve shown in this thread van flashers seem to be the least of your problems
