Typically, had a phone call from the agency last night (Saturday - just got home from driving for Morrisons - agency) and told, sorry Sunday cancelled! So I am left with no work for Sunday, twice in 3 weeks (again). No time to ring anyone else to find other work.
Morrisons Willow Green is a complete and utter shambles, from knackered units to (I look for panels without damage now - much easier) trailers with failing under slung fridges (lost count of the number of transships I had had to go through in the last few months), binding brakes showing as melted nut alignment tabs (!!!) What happened to the end of shift/drop trailer walk around■■?
And don’t get me started on over packed pallets ( too many for trailer so broken down over rest of 26), falling over pallets as no support against odd number pallet, insecurely wrapped etc etc.
Anyone know what Culina are like? Tesco, NFT etc? Many cancellations? Any knowledge dispelled would be appreciated.
some cancelation can see any company.especialy Sunday.
Get a job on the books, that way you don’t get sent home.
Agency work suits some people, those who like the flexibility or those who are at the end of their careers and don’t want a full week, I think they, for the most part are thieving parasites who have ruined the job.
Fully expect to be ****** about when working for an agency.

Culina are good and they use adr as their sole agency.
True ‘mike68’. Tesco are good for dicking you about, I found it pointless working on Sunday when you can’t get the hours in on the good rate per hour, normally the shift was cancelled by the agency anyway…

If you drive carefully, you too may get to the end of your career and be a theiving parasite.

I think he meant the agencies are thieving parasites not the drivers
Many thanks baldbloke:)
I will give Culina a go.

We ( Culina ) do have maps or you can get a map off google. You will need to ask to be assessed at Culina before you can go in there though. And we don’t do store work.
That is strange as the agency offered me going there a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned I was not assessed there and they said that no longer mattered. Like a good discussion so will call ADR tomorrow and tie them in knots:)

It matters to Culina very much but ADR sometimes do send people in who have not been assessed but I suppose sometimes they can’t always fill the job.

It’s an ambient depot not chilled.
how often do supermarket trucks get pulled by vosa?
Do Culina only use ADR at all their sites? The CERT operation at Magna Park used to be split between a number of agencies so would be interested to know who they intend to use locally & is that likely to be the Crick office?. The CERT operation was heavily into Red Bull so does that mean Culina have got all that business as well?

Good question, and the answer is, very rarely.
I have never been stopped, there have been the odd fixed penalty for seat belts and height indicator but that’s all.
They would be wasting their time, drivers hours are strictly adhered to and maintenance is obsessive.

Correct.
Fair enough,it reads to me like a dig at the semi retired, apologies.
An agency cancels a shift, a big fleet is a bit of a mess, I’m probably being over cynical but is this really an issue?
My apologies if you are new to this game though.
