If the agencies are anything like my trade, everyone knows everyone else.
If you start harassing the agency you work for, can you be sure they won’t tell all the other agencies in your area?

You’d think they would work together wouldn’t you, however in reality it works the other way.

I did several days for a medium sized old type of haulage company at Corby for my agency at the time (who has since gone bust without paying me my accrued holiday pay…such is life), i worked damned hard, but when the company was billed they questioned every single bill, every other drivers work too and ended up paying around half of what was owed and for some days nothing.

Annoyed the hell out of me cos i do my bloody best at work, i don’t do damage and i look after the kit however bad the knackered stuff is, call it stupid pride if you must.

Obviously the agency refused to do any further work for them, and i asked if they would be quietly informing other agencies of the bad paying non ethics of this Corby outfit, oh no they wouldn’t cos they hope other agencies get the work and suffer a similar fate.

This attitude can only be childish bolshy British schoolboy stuff…customers like the one i mention are no bloody use to man or beast, their tackle is bodged and falling apart and they don’t pay, best thing could happen is they go out of business.

Presumably then i expect agencies are only too pleased when an idiot licence holder goes to the competiton and messes about too.

In this thread the OP is his own worst enemy, just about unemployable, and behaving like a little kid…maybe he is a lttle kid.

Try Corby general haulage companies Boss & Driver, you and that particular company deserve each other.

I love threads like this though, the more of them there are the better for the good drivers out there.

Out of interest dude (off topic slightly) which Corby firm was it? I did a few days on agy for a Corby firm and it all sounds a bit familiar. These old knackered motors, were they blue and white per chance?

In the above posts, no apostrophe is required in the word teachers. Teachers is the plural of teacher, meaning more than one teacher. “Teacher’s” has an apostrophe to indicate the omission of a letter, indicating “teacher is” has been shortened to “teacher’s”. In the post made above, the use of “teacher is” is gramatically incorrect.

Besides, the poster was backing you up :unamused:

8/10.

Oh dear:
“Teachers”, in the above posts, is plural and posessive; so it should have an apostrophe after the “s”
ie:
The teacher’s parking place = The place allocated to a single teacher.
The teachers’ parking place = The place allocated for teachers to park.

An apostrope can indicate a missing letter as in it’s (it is) or as a way of making a noun posessive, as in Mary’s parking place.

Clear now?

That colour scheme sounds familiar, could be related? not an isolated incident then…

Boss and driver,
There is a job out there for you, all you have to do is find a village.

If we’re talking about the same firm it’s nowhere near isolated, the agency (one man band) I work for apparently has a couple of thier ex full timers on the books, none of them will set foot in the place. When I told Mr Agency I was refusing to ever go there again his response was “Oh ■■■■, not another one! Sorry mate, I get this a lot”.

In 3 days there (bearing in mind all of the trailer swaps you do) I only pulled one trailer that was any good, it was on hire.
