Make sure you have a sleeping bag or duvet Chainy!!

Night heaters make a racket and dry your throat out. Those cabs get bloody cold in the early hours mate.

I have nighted out in Melton Mowbray fella. There is a cracking little industrial estate just near KFC!

Make sure you have a bottle handy for when you wake up at 2am needing a ■■■■! I tend to use one with a wide neck.

(Not suggesting you don’t!!!). Late edit; There is a Co-op there too, KFC and Co-op are quite literally a 2 min walk away from the ind est.

Co op closed now, but there is a Lidl next door.

+1
I met a nice lad last night, new to the game so gave him a few pointers and showed him the ropes.

Often it’s easy to form new friendships just by offering a welcoming expression to a passing stranger whilst sitting in ones cab watching the world go by.

I would advise caution though as there’s some weirdos about.

If you can’t use the radio without the keys can you use a cigar socket? Tesco used to do (not sure if they still do) a dab radio for £15-£20 that had a USB connector for power. I use it with my sat nav plug and its handy for when parked up but also to listen to while tipping etc.

Mine needs the keys in for the radio to work too

anyone on lymm.? got an inpromptu 2nd night out

Lymm has a new restaurant ,roast chicken or steaks, if you fancy a long walk, the village of Lymm has several pubs, a Turkish restaurant but at night the road is dangerous.
A torch and wear a hiviz as the road in some
places has no pavement .
At the truckstop McDonalds is open 24 hours, there is a shop for truckers stuff, Costa coffee, truck wash, big shower cubicles, WH Smith open all night, if empty, open a trailer door .
Check for overnight road closures before parking up .
