I left Esl after 5 yrs yesteday,handed my notice in on Wednesday morning and was told I could go Thursday after my last shift.
To say I’m relieved to be out is an understatement,the company is eating drivers at the moment,but a first start is a first start and I’m chuffed for you.

Yes,me too Dessy,I’d applied for a job online with a small transport company nr me and he phoned me on Monday to offer me a job,better money,my own truck and 2-3 nights out a week so I took it.
Ops manager said he knew I’d go eventually once I found a tramping job with my own truck,he’s just worried now that some of the other longer serving drivers will follow!
Just sick of the lies,filthy trucks and lack of hours so I’ve gone!

well the time has come,looking forward to my induction t’up widnes monday morning lol heard the two day course is a long one on both occasions but not gonna moan it counts towards cpc got to be in chesterfield depot 5am so early start lol, and got my first proper start time for 7 next thurs night, im actually gonna be an elf lol, ps folks seein as im doin nights im gonna av to switch from asdas cheap ■■■■coffee to summats decent haha whats the best out there haha
Congratulations mate, sorry I’ve only just seen this thread, I don’t get on as much as I used to.
Don’t listen to all the harbingers of doom, I’ve worked for Stobarts through agency at a couple of depots and never had any problems that I’ve not had at any other firm I’ve worked for, so just crack on mate 
Keep your head down, ignore your work mates, and buy a jumper or jacket to cover your shirt when out of your cab, in a public place. Works for me! Good luck.

Have heard Stobart are reducing the 50hr guaranteed week to 45hr again! Same as last year for 3 months it was then! And I have written proof! OK
Doing the usual! Penny pinching off the drivers again! Good Luck if you stay there!
