Have heard Stobart are reducing the 50hr guaranteed week to 45hr again! Same as last year for 3 months it was then! And I have written proof! OK

Apparently there was or is a ballot box doing the rounds, not seen it yet though but I know what the majority of the drivers will put. not that it will make a difference.
If they cut down on the drivers making 15 hours out of 10 they would save a fortune, They would rather hit the drivers that go out and get the job done though.
Always the hard grafters that get punished.

Keep your head down, ignore your work mates, and buy a jumper or jacket to cover your shirt when out of your cab, in a public place. Works for me! Good luck.

After arriving back at chesterfield at 8 from widnes academy i can honestly say wow, thw 2 day induction was amazing what a great training setup,the training was spot on very informative and the older and seasoned deivers i spoke to learned a thing or 2, mick the trainer was good too,really helpful knows his stuff and answered all our questions,i think if i keep my nose clean crack on im going to get on with a driving job that im sure i will enjoy, first ahifr thurs night

Mickā€™s a really nice guy to be honest, met him a couple of times, once for induction at Appleton, once for induction at Manchester, always got on well with him.

Never done the induction / training at Widnes - my inductions from other sites carried there - do you still get the ā€˜restaurant voucherā€™? :grimacing:

Just an update how i got on with my first shift last night lol,did 12 1/2hr, had a introduction round chezzy tesco rdc with the drivers rep then aftee that was trunkin down to welham green, thoufht it was a tight yard for a newbie like me dont think shunt was impressed watching me revwrse a decker for 10 mins haha but i did it in the end and a nice trailer swap tā€™upthe new daventry grocery,although admittedly i am shattered today amd trying to get into a new routine i bloody enjoyed it
