I’ve just started noticing a small firm called TJ Robins. I’ve never noticed them before, but seen 3 of their wagons in my last 2 shifts. Tidy white motors with flatbeds and cranes.

There use to be (maybe still going) a company from Liverpool with black & white trucks/trailers, can’t remember their name, Scania’s iirc, always immaculate, no matter the weather, really stood out whenever they passed. That’ll be thornburns sadly no longer around
Yep, they’re the one’s.

They could play a bit part in the running bent in the 80s thread! If I remember rightly they lost their licence multiple times before they shut for good

If they had made carry fast transport manager they would have been ok
Moreton Cullimore. Old fashioned livery.
Waberers. I see them and expect chaos.
CM Downton. I wonder if the drivers’ on his way home or job seeking.
Heygates. Distinctive livery, and well worked is the polite way of describing them.
Prestons of Potto always stood out to me and Bugle transport.
Bumble Hole Foods.
Armoric from Plymouth are smart looking.

I always notice Preston’s for their red & yellow Scania’s - shame about the white renaults
Jack Richards - another smart distinctive fleet
I always notice ‘Proctors’
And I usually yell ‘PROCTERRRRR!’ at them in the style of Captain Harris off of Police Academy.
Because I’m a very silly person.

Not just me then
I used to work for this crowd and for all their faults I reckon their FMXs look very nice.

Slightly different but reg plates that start with MX, not sure why and there seems to be loadsMX London (South-East) (Middlesex before 1965)
That’ll be why I see so many in the south east then! Cheers for that.
I also notice Horseshoe Distribution here and there, always seems like such a niche market.
I like to look out for m way and sons, d and g noble and H E PAYNE. All running what looks like good Kit and looks like it’s well looked after by the drivers which is always good to see!
Joyce European stunning fleet

What I like about that fleet, is they use tasteful dealer spec extras, and with the right paint it’s a less is more look. Better than ram raiding cdc
For some reason Davidson Wilson from Aberdeen always catch my eye when I see them,
They have a plain fleet but think they look nice in the navy blue with the G&A trailers
Also mclanachan of Kilsyth run a really nice fleet too
Definitely one of my favourites, another one which is not too over the top …
Hayton Coulthard always catch my eye.
