Firms you spot for no particular reason

While up and down the why is I spot certain firms trucks for no reason and I don’t mean the big national that are everywhere.
Examples are
Bedworth haulage
Hadfields of Manchester these don’t even do artic and I still clock em.
Mayling transport
And others that i can’t think of names but when I see them I think ‘oh there’s one’

Regarding bedworth they run some lovely looking trucks but also some bog standard tat.

Like me then it’s the smarter looking smaller companies I notice more especially red or black lorries typically Ralph Davies will always turn my head on the motorway as will Peter Green among others .

Anyone running the new Renaults, as that’s one ■■■■ ugly truck!

ADT have some nice kit

Also I like a blue/white combination such as in TDW,s Volvos always look good as do Dixons of Ireland.

Agreed, Ralph Davies catch my head usually on M4 carpark near M5 junction

Cornwall transport (especially before they had the company name and it was just the blue stripe)
Also, there’s a firm running red scanias with a small gold/silver wedge shape on the cab and unmarked trailers. No name but quite often see them on the lower part of the M1

There use to be (maybe still going) a company from Liverpool with black & white trucks/trailers, can’t remember their name, Scania’s iirc, always immaculate, no matter the weather, really stood out whenever they passed.

That’ll be warrens from rugby. They’ve got a handful of trucks with their name on but the majority are just plain

That’ll be thornburns sadly no longer around

I always notice Pollocks wagons…because I’m a child and it reminds me of another word

A lot of the Scots must have spent a fortune on getting tartan trim painted on before the advent of decals/stickers/wraps etc. Pollocks always raised a titter from me too.

Nowadays being just a car driver, ones I always notice for some reason are Ralph Davies and PF booth who I see a lot in my local area.

Years ago was Geoff Gilbert International, Thorburn’s and Ralph Davies who caught my glance.

Trilogy air freight for me. Always seem to pop up no matter where I am in the country.

Thorleys seem to always stand out to me yellow units pulling tippers always seem very smart wagons.

Not just me then

Slightly different but reg plates that start with MX, not sure why and there seems to be loads

Not seen one I will have to put one on spotting list

Pawsons of Rotherham always looked well turned out in their old maroon livery, however I see that they have now gone down the ‘Mighty White’ route as well which is a shame. They still look tidy though. Locally to me Matlock Transport trucks look smart.

Pete.
