Felt like a stobart moment

felt like I could of done an audition for trucks and trailers on Tuesday (no I don’t work for them)

it was 1700 hrs and I had 2 hours left to complete a 36 mile journey, but this was no other journey this was a journey across one of the busiest cities in the world at the height of rush hour, I would have to pull out all the stops to make this journey

on the north circular, one of the busiest roads in the universe disaster strikes, there is a stobart lorry broken down at the lights blocking a lane, its every truckers nightmare

driving around the north circular and one wrong move could wipe out half of London

will I make it? will London survive? find out after the break

yeah I made it, got loaded and was parked up by 1900hrs

what do you think? enough clichés? could I be the next mark Dixon?

you need a couple of ‘truckers nightmares, the dreaded blindside reverse’ chucked in there to make it a bit more dramatic mate!

Get the dreaded dartford bridge or maybe sheerness in essex and your there

school boy error on the dreaded blindside reverse, how did I forget that

Brilliant.

And emphasise on how your inching past parked cars where one false move could result in a right off! (Even though you have 6feet either side)

Don’t forget the music that starts every time you select reverse…

What mark Dixon or the Scottish fella who pulled into a tesco express telling the camera how tight the car park was and wasn’t designed for trucks and that you have to be extra cautious blah blah then hits a metal bollard

I remembered that one, and didn’t he have a rigid as well or at least a small ■■■ trailer?

the bald ■■■ has both eyes on one side of his crooked head, thats what you call a blind spot.

Lol I think he was in a scania 18 toner if I remember right because he was moaning at the beginning about driving the little thing because he was an artic driver made it even funnier that someone off his obv “calibre” managed to hit the truck he was to good for.

that was another time, the time he actually hit a car was in the FH16 with the sponsered trailer iirc.

haha! i actually laughed out loud at that! :grimacing:

Sorry, James but there was NO mention of you being “under pressure”.

So you’ll just have to do the trip all over again and write it up properly next time

Oh yeah I remember that one he got lost turned right into a street and took a left at the top and wedged the back off the trailer in someone’s wing I may be wrong but was he happy at the beginning because he was the first person to drive the new unit and trailer?im sure the trailer atleast was brand spankers

did you ‘pound the tarmac’?

Was that when he couldn’t find Battersea Power Station? I always thought the four ■■■■ off chimneys was a dead giveaway when I was looking for it…

The bald ■■■ is also stobarts star driver trainer which just goes to show its not what know, its who you know
