Both card driver just had to get in front of truck when there isn’t room to do so taking up the trucks braking space. And truck driver for just not backing off and letting the Muppet in. Both could have caused an accident to happen.

50/50 car could have made it if she booted it a bit more , truck driver only needed to lift of a little
I reckon there’s more than meets the eye that’s not shown
when there isn’t room to do so taking up the trucks braking space.
Really? It may have been a safer option for the truck to ease off the gas or even use his footbrake to create a gap (braking space) for the dumb car driver.
That’s if he used observation and anticipation but instead he or she nearly caused a major pile up. One of many lucky escapes that take place everyday.

Shows what a prize bell end you are really doesn’t it?
Did I not say that in the post but yet again you side on the car drivers side for trying to get ahead of a truck to go nowhere. But you’d rather point out the only bit that backs up your argument that I myself also made.
Seriously your just a wind up merchant who needs to get a life and stop being all holier than thou.
Anyone who holds a licence to drive should uphold the high standards you speak of, and not be given the excuse they are a car driver who doesn’t know better. They do know better and have been taught to know better but don’t give a toss and drive like complete cretins.
So keep defending cretins that can’t drive and keep telling us all what bad drivers truck drivers are pal.

Just another day at the office… Glad that I have retired.
Neither the road planner should be sacked with extreme prejudice. That’s clearly only fit for left lane turn left only. What’s the point of leading traffic into that predictable situation.

No way. Truck driver totally innocent. Car driver a complete twerp and dangerous to boot. Just get in behind the truck, not hard is it, unless of course you are a total ■■■■■■.
Truck driver could have killed them. Maybe he should, only way for tw*ts to learn. Just when are we going to stop tolerating these arse wipes. They are just fing dangerous end of. Best that could be said is that the car driver didn’t know the road in which case he should have seen that the carriageway was ceasing and get in behind the truck. Prick. We all make errors. It is only totally selfish gits who then try to make an error into a ‘couldn’t care less’ dangerous scenario.
It was as stupid as a light aircraft attempting to land in front of a Jumbo jet.

I despair at your logic. Have you ever driven a lorry? Some of your comments including this one show me you are totally clueless.
If you drive your car like the advice/comments you give on here then you are bloody dangerous and should have your licence revoked.
Every day we see clowns like this car driver behaving irresponsiby and dangerously yet NOTHING is ever done about it. And you condone it??
Remember the overtaking vehicle needs to make sure it is safe to overtake and not force the overtakee to slow down (because of their poor - or in this case downright dangerous judgement).
Agreed if they were going at it km after km then the overtakee should just back off. But this is not he case. Had some prick once do a similar thing to me because I wouldn’t let them in at a slip road, because it was THEIR GIVE WAY. No doubt the Jake School of Motoring would do otherwise. ffs.
As the car was overtaking the lorry, the lorry quickly increased his speed from 59km/h to 65km/h in order to close the gap to the car in front, and thereby deliberately block the car from overtaking. This is dangerous and aggressive driving.
When someone is trying to overtake, you should ease off the gas to help the faster vehicle overtake.
The car left it too late to overtake safely.
The lorry drove badly once, and the car drove badly twice. So 3 points should be added to the lorry driver’s licence and 6 points should be added to the car driver’s licence.
As the trucker didn’t seem to be swerving or accelerating to perform the classic “Shut-out” move here, I’d have to argue the Muppet in the car is 100% in the wrong.
Dunno about a brake check happening though…

Watch the lorry’s speed as shown in the bottom right of the video. The lorry’s speed increased from 59km/h to 65km/h (about 37mph to 40mph) to perform the classic “shut-out” move.
It’s not 50/50.
It’s 100/100.
Two total idiots.

Yea I agree.
I will put more blame on the HGV driver though as he is supposed to be a profesional.
Also this type of things happen so other with HGV drivers. Not all but a good few hate being overtaken or having to slow down to give way to cars on a slip round. If they have to touch the brake once they get mad.
It’s all about getting to that destination 20 secs earlier.
I was following two trucks up the M11 the other day. For a good 20 miles they were basically in two lanes, neck and neck. Neither one wanted to drop down by half a mph to give way to the other.
It’s behaviour like this that gives us a bad name.
There is also a section of the M11 in which the right hand lane is 7.5t during certain times. This gets ignored so often and you will have two hgvs neck and neck which causes tailbacks.
Now put your hands up if you’ve ever had that done to you whilst driving your truck, and more importantly - did you, as the trucker - act exactly the same way this guy did…
I’ll go first…

I’d check.the highway code if you think that traffic on a fast flowing road should give way to traffic joining the motorway or dual carriageway. Easing up slightly to assist someone merging is one thing, but the vehicle joining a fast flowing road absolutely has to give way to vehicles on it, it has give way markings for the joiner for a reason and if not safe to join you should stop and wait until there is safe gap to do so if it actually comes to it. In practise that should never happen as everyone should give everyone a helping hand.
The amount of drivers who think they can just squeeze out into any slight gap on a motorway is shocking and often they pull out dangerously and then brake causing others to slow down even more.
The onus for a safe join is on the joiner not the vehicle already in free flowing traffic. The biggest issue with car drivers is the fact they easily can drop in behind vehicles and overtake and get going but often they don’t, they run up til the very last second and expect everyone else to make space for them or just barge their way on in front of anyone else.
Same as cars that dawdle in lane 1 doing 50ish when they can easily move over to allow another car or truck onto the motorway but don’t and just sit there causing frustration for everyone.

Totally agree.
But in reality, there could be some 80 year old lady who is trying join a busy road and has only accelerated up to 40mph. You’ve dropped off the speed a bit to let her in. Yet she wont accerlate any more.
You see the slip road ending you either have a choice of not letting her in or letting her in.
I think as a professional driver even if you are 100% in the right you do have to plan for bad drivers.
I personally find it shocking the amount of drivers on a slip road who will match my speed expecting me to give way. Usually I do because I dont want to be involved in a crash if they are stupid enough to attempt the merge.
In theory there is no excuse why a car driver can not out accerlate a HGV to merge onto the road. But we know in reality it is completely different.
Then again I have this happen a few times which is infuriating lol.
I see a car trying to merge from a slip road. So I slow down.
So he slows down.
So I speed up
So he speeds up
Very annoying

And that is the problem people who should not be driving or people who just do not care about their driving.
If you cannot accelerate up a slip road to match the flowing traffics speed and then vary it with all round observations to ensure it is safe to join then you should not be driving.
Driving is a privilege not a right, you do not own your licence you are granted the right to drive and more people need to realise and understand that.
The bottom line is mostly everyone is selfish and lazy when it comes to driving.

Two of the thousands of buttholes on the roads - nothing exceptional here.
