I’m WillowTheDog Hunter on Facebook…it started as a promotional thing I was doing for my next book, but I spent so much time on Facebook I’ve yet to finish the ruddy book… :smiley:

Thankyou kind Sir I didn’t realise it wasn’t working, anyway me and her indoors are proud not to be on Facebook, in fact some people look at us all funny when we tell them.

I have to update this because I find I am spending more time on facebook and twitter than here, there are two or three good lorry threads going.

I had one, but got fed up with “friends” posting that there was nowt on telly, what they had for breakfast, how ill they felt and how they wanted to hug their other halves.
Didn’t find it useful in the slightest, and couldn’t understand why people I went to school with were contacting me when I didn’t give a toss about them at school, and care even less 16 years later.

I had it but I got rid of it. I don’t see the need to tell the world my every thought and move, and I don’t like the idea of all that info about me being online or showing anyone how much of an arse I can make of myself at times.

It causes nothing but ■■■■ and everytime you hear someone argue it always involves the words face and book!

I deactivated my account, sick of people putting up pictures of their kids and telling everyone how great their sad repetitive life is.
Causes too many problems with birds as well if you are a single fella.

ive recently found facebook to be pretty useful with some research im doing into the history of a couple of trucks from my past , ive found it more useful for that than what most folk use it for .
it has its uses and it has some interseting groups full to the brim with transport history . those that never got the hang of it , just like me , should give it another go . its worth a try if you’re into that kind of thing .

I find it is better than it used to be for sharing common interests. I am a member of several groups and have found some old friends, new photographs, lots of great information and a few naked ladies :stuck_out_tongue:
