Explain your user name

Putting the fear of god into white van men everywhere. But all in the best possible taste! (He said, in his best Kenny Everett/cupid stunt voice :sunglasses: )

Actually, I used it as a tagline signature when I took a break from driving tankers to work tech support for the now defunct Time computer company, because I used to drive a white truck.

Incidentally, whenever I read on here of drivers complaining how crap their job/pay/conditions etc are, I just think that they’ve obviously never worked in a call center.

Mine is from the Crack on to Macon days.

Why do I use this name? I know that my explanation would not be believed (or I would be mocked!) if I explained. So I won´t.

I lived in London, and the cat used to rule the flat we lived in.

A nickname from a previous career which is a shortened version of my surname, the 2 was added after my computer crashed and I couldn’t access my e-mail account and so had to re-register.

My first name is Gary and I used to have a Seddon Atkinson 401

No, no really not. Honest. You could try to figure something out amongst yourselves…

I dread to think what some of you might come up with. But it is the festive season, eh?

When I joined the forum I was driving a Volvo with the reg number, BX04 YYS, so 2 Ys, or toowise. Nothing to do with being a clever arse.

Only ever owned Cars from GM, The original Griffin, not that Swedish lorry company that stole it.
And I’m 6.0ft tall…

I used to be cab happy but I’m alright now!

Mine comes from the feeling experienced from hours sitting on the hard vinyl covered seats of the 1960.s Made the nether regions sweaty as well.

Mines the first one that came to mind after joining after going out for the day with my dads friend dad in a brand new DAF XF in the early 2000’s, want to change it to what I use on the rest of the forums I use but you need a good reason to change it :unamused:

I was a big fan Rising Damp , must have gone on about it too much so acquired the nickname Rigsby . When cb radio came along I used it as my handle and then user name on here .

Mine is the tool I used to hate being presented with, when I was an apprentice fitter, and being told to go and crack the wheel nuts on about 20 trucks and trailers. I don’t think the company possessed a torque wrench

Used to be on the tools in a previous life…

During my Class 1 training the instructor stopped at the same snack van on each of the 5 x days - run by his mate, an ex-driver. There was another enthusiastic young driver there who turned up in a different truck every day only to be told each day by the mouthpiece chef & my instructor colourfully that he was unwelcome and should not return until he was driving a Scania.

The banter during much hilarity at the van with a half dozen or so drivers each day was that when he done that he would be ‘in the club’ and only then could be known truly as ‘a Fanny in a Scanny’.

I used that name on another forum then shortened to Scannyfanny for this one.
