Experiment

Just following Dafmad’s recommendation of imageshack.

Does it work?

Jeez, not very well.

Guess I’ll have to think it out again :frowning:

Tomorrow

Salut, David.

Bit overheight with that chateau in the trailer!

OKAY THEY SAY PRACTISE MAKES ONE PERFECT; SPARDO; I THINK
THE PICTURE IS ALL RIGHT MATE A NICE SET UP OF VOLVO AND TRAILER;

Is it common over there to use separate red and yellow airlines even when connecting to A-frame and caravan type trailers? We use “Duo-matic” type connection for almost all trailers (check Rob K’s post about yellow trailer going to Sweden).

Nice Pic Spardo

You ain’t kidding, should have seen the problems we had
shoe-horning it in

If anyone’s interested, it’s Wollaton Hall near Nottingham.

Thanks Pete, that was my last wagon before leaving England.

Krybo, yes the airlines are identical to artics, only difference is
they disconnect from the wagon, not the trailer.

The point of all this is teaching an old dog new tricks.
How to post pics on a forum. Craig says it’s easy,
Dafmad gave me the link to transfer it and also I downloaded
the software to resize, but then couldn’t send the resized pic
from there. Yes I know, I’m thick. Help.

Salut, David.

 Spardo, if you resize down to say 600 pixels wide, then make sure you save it before trying to post it. If you change the file name slightly by say adding a 2 then you have the original and the one to post. It should come then out about this size.

 The it will come out like this and it is easy to see on these forums. IMHO :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Steve, hey, that’s not a bad looking wagon & drag
So if I can’t get my head round that info, all I have to do is post a giant billboard and act daft and some nice person will come along and do everything for me, eh?
Haven’t we all just met people like that in the past? Don’t worry, I think I follow the logic and will get it right.

Salut, David.

2nd try with my last wagon before retirement.

Back to the drawing board :frowning:

Try opening your picture in ‘Paint’ then alter the size by clicking on ‘Image’ at the top of the window.
Select ‘Stretch/Skew’ .
Then reduce the percentages of the hoizontal and vertical sizes. I reduced both sizes to 50% for your pic below.

I’ve deleted the pic now you’ve got the hang of it

a nice picture SPARDO was it taken any where near geneva on the french side,

Yes Pete, I was parked up one evening for an early morning tip at Sallanches(74), just off J20 of the A40.

Hollywood,
I’ll try and work out what you mean but in fact I have no difficulty in reducing the
size (using MS Picture It or IrfanView) but try as I might can’t manage the transition to the site without it
blowing itself up again.

I reduced it and then saved it under a different file name but all to no avail.

I’ll try again till I get it right

Salut, David.

 Hello David,

OK, This is your photo at 700 pixels wide.

When you paste your photos links on here, I suggest you do it like this

When you leave spaces between the links, your photos have more chance of not being on top of each other and therefore avoiding problems of showing on your posts. Of course you can add text above and below your photo.

 David, are you uploading the resized photo ( and not mistakenly still trying to upload the original ), it shouldn’t resize itself just because you have uploaded it. ■■

One for the oldies

Eureka     Made it!

Steve, I did this before reading your last post and following Hollywood’s
advice to use Paint.
The answer to your question is I don’t know what I was doing.
Not the first time that’s been said  But whatever it was
I daren’t change anything now. It’s Paint and Imageshack from
now on  All credit to you and H. Thanks mates.

Salut, David.

Well done David, that one came out perfect

 Well done David, if that works for you then fair enough.
