Ever had on of these?

My mate told me if I don’t use this once a month the French will give you a €551 euro fine!

I might stick it on eBay

Well, you know what the French are like, they’ll just make up any old excuse to get money off you! :unamused:

You really do have to hand it to the French…After all, they won’t fight for it.

It’s something that has been introduced for the bling boys when they run out of things to polish, as if. It cleans your digi card and inside the slot of the VU.

It’s called a Cleaning Cloth and a Cleaning Card, Fred.

I got done £100 on the spot a few years ago in Cherbourg & missed the boat ,for a broken seal, come up from Morocco no probs, padlocks on etc.the Douane noticed that the wire was broken…Told them " it happened while parked in their country " They said it was " my problem & pay up " As said they make up their own rules…Shame this sinking empire don’t follow suit…Its time the we STOOD up for our Country & kicked some up the ARSE & a lot MORE out !!! :imp: :imp:

Also read that they are going to fine drivers for not carrying a self breath test kit.
Our beloved government said about 3 yrs ago that they were going to look into charging foreigners to use our roads. What they obviously dont realise is that there is already a system in place…its called P&O and DFDS ( sea france )
Whenever brits went to France, they would buy a benelux toll ticket from the ferry operators…so why not do it in reverse !
Next, we are always reminded of the need for headlight converters when driving in europe, so why are the foreigners not reminded when driving in the uk. It always seems that we ponder to the whims of the foreigner or lands thereof, why are we so afraid to bend the rules now and again.
I can go further with the recent refusal to deport a known terrorist, if he is such a danger, then our human rights should be at the forefront, kick him/them out, and worry about it after, for i am sure that the other foreign lands would not hesitate to deport terrorists.

is it made in France?

I don’t understand how buying a vignette for the Benelux helps France, even if you bought it in Transmarck.

I have never needed headlamp converters or been fined for not having them or yellow lenses. It is a bit of a liberty having to buy a breathalyser kit if you are teetotal, but you wont wear it out :stuck_out_tongue:

They banned the wearing of the Burka in public and now they want Muslims to buy breathalyser kits.

I would suggest not getting anywhere near the French team at the forthcoming Olympics. They will be easy to recognise, they will be the ones with a target on their backs.

I got pulled in Dunqeurque for not having the yellow lenses and not having a fire extinguisher. I was told I wouldn’t be fined if I purchased the missing items on the spot at the customs house. :astonished:

The fire extinguisher doesn’t look like it would put out a ■■■ - but it left me legal for around £20 spent.
That was over 10 years ago. It’s never been used, but I still carry it.

How the f–k they get anything done in France I have no idea. They don’t drive across weekends either do they?!

You can’t see the bit you highlighted, just like the yellow lenses

The fire extinguisher wouldn’t be worth twenty quid now, especially if you haven’t had it retested, possibly another fine on the way :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s my point - I can’t read highlighter pen or under diffuse light of this nature either!
Why are there no such thing as “equiv 200w energy saving lightbulbs” rather than those daft “equiv 100w” ones that you can’t read by? :open_mouth:

It’s like that scene in “The Abyss” when he’s trying to work out which wire to cut on the nuke… :frowning:
