Ever had on of these?

The fire extinguisher doesn’t look like it would put out a ■■■ - but it left me legal for around £20 spent.
That was over 10 years ago. It’s never been used, but I still carry it.

How the [zb] they get anything done in France I have no idea. They don’t drive across weekends either do they?!

The fire extinguisher wouldn’t be worth twenty quid now, especially if you haven’t had it retested, possibly another fine on the way :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you re-test a fire extinguisher?

It’s like re-testing matches surely?
“Yep that one struck ok… Well it did the once anyway!”

I bet the “continental obstacles” don’t call you “Sir” when they are trying to test your gear either

I reckon I should just continue my trade embargo with the whole of europe!

Also read that they are going to fine drivers for not carrying a self breath test kit.
Our beloved government said about 3 yrs ago that they were going to look into charging foreigners to use our roads. What they obviously dont realise is that there is already a system in place…its called P&O and DFDS ( sea france ).

SeaFrance was a ferry company based in France, 100% owned by the French railways, SNCF, which operated ferry services between Calais, France, and Dover, England. On 9 January 2012, the company was liquidated with the loss of 1,850 [French] jobs

actually they need to be tested once a year and it’s a minimum of €700 fine in france when carrying ADR and your fire extinguishers are not up to date. the test consists of a visual inspection, confirming that all the parts are intact, confirming that the pressure is within range and hitting it with a rubber mallet to make sure, that the powder hasn’t caked up inside.
