Euro 2020

Discussing football on a forum?
Listening to a match on the truck radio?
Watching a game while on a weekend away?
I can see I’m showing you the light mate  ,…you’ll be rocking up at the pub next in a black and white shirt… meeting me in The Strawberry…
We need to discuss the ‘‘Soccer’’ thing btw, don’t be using that word in the Gallowgate end…

Caught up in the hysteria mate. I’m swapping my rugby shirts for stockings and suspenders like you footballists favour!

I hope he kept the receipt.

So close…but no cigar. Finalists is not something we can say very often with England. We are still on the way up. Plenty to look forward to next year.

Gutted.

How much are they paid?

Allegedly the entire squad donated all money earned in the tournament to charity.

Why do you need to know that?? :unamused:
Who tf really cares anyhow?

If you’re implying they don’t deserve it, as Maoster says they got ■■■■ all out of it, and if you’re implying they should have tried harder because of what they are on…did you actually see the game? …Do you actually understand the game?

The game I watched they gave 100%, the 34% possession in the stats sounds bad but that means they defended 66% of that time simultaneously defending the relentless Italian attack in the second half especially,.we were essentially controlling the game without having possession, but if you understood the technical side of the game you would know that.
Also Italy were unable to beat us in 90 mins time and 30 mins extra time, despite being unbeaten in 30+ games.
We did not get thrashed we did not get played off the field, we did not get totally outclassed… We lost a penalty shoot out :bulb: , which is basically a lottery combined with who is the best at controlling their nerves under immense pressure, lots of top Flight excellent players have missed penalties in the past.
I would be the first to knock them if they played badly and did not try, with zero care or passion…I did not see that, I saw 11 players genuinely crestfallen and gutted at the end of the shootouts.

We’ve gone from being knocked out of a major tournament by a third rate side like Iceland, to getting to semi finals in a World Cup competition, and UNBEATEN with a clean sheet, as far as the semis in this comp, and a first major final in 55 years to a Euro Championship,.and all within 5 years with this current team, squad and manager…as a serious and passionate fan I’m happy with that.
I couldn’t give a two penny ■■■■ how much they earn tbh.mate. :unamused:

like you rob i’m gutted BUT so proud of that perfomance. way i’m thinking now is imagine that team in two years time… anyhow off to get some paracetamol…

Just watched Gareth’s press conference this morning, he sounds totally ■■■■■■ off.
A few d/heads fed the anti football crew with the agg post match,.and using the penalty shoot out as an excuse to continue the racial abuse on social media.
Alan Shearer said he hope’s that the likes of Facebook track these lot down and I agree.
Rashford really ■■■■ ed up,.what was he thinking ■■?..ManUs centre forward ffs :unamused: ,.
And 19 years old Shaka did a decent spot kick but the keeper was too good for him, it was down to them granted, but I hold nothing against them, neither could I give a toss if they’re turquoise green let alone black. :unamused:

Here’s to the Winter World Cup in 15 months or so time. :sunglasses:
(Eternal optimist :unamused:

Aggro , Jesus that was nothing up to the good old days , visit the old den , Cardiff , city & it was more like a war zone , fighting everywhere , proper football , it all gone soft these days .
A big part of my younger days fighting at football , had some great times with mates , I still miss it , wouldn’t change anything ,
Should bring back eastville then we could brick the away coaches from the old hill / mound , I worked with a few blades & they could remember there coach windows going in
It was different times , but even now I miss it , even now my mrs has to tell me to sit down & behave myself , won’t condem those England fans as if I was 20/30,s I’d of been there , I’m off , getting misty eyed , lots will never understand it , but it was a big part of lots of lads life’s , fighting at football
Have a read of the milwall forum , still like the old days ,

Aye cos that’s just what you want to see when you’ve took your young lad and your little girl to watch a game eh doze?..2 gangs of f/whits going at it against each other,.and your little kids stood there terrified.watching them. :unamused:
Only time I’d get involved is if one of those knobheads came anywhere near my kids.

Get stuck in, knock yourselves out (literally) kill each other for all anybody cares, but do it in a field somewhere away from families on a day out.

I’ve had my moments when younger also, maybe not at games, but you do tend to grow out of it with maturity,… obviously not in your case. :unamused:

A proud football supporter speaking from the heart of the nation, there should be snipers around the football grounds blowing their heads off with no come back getting a bonus for every one they shoot

This is why you don’t see many fans of the bigger clubs at England matches. Who would want to be associated with such nonsense.
The full story of what went on outside Wembley has yet to emerge, but it may have a direct effect on us getting the World Cup in 2030. All because the knuckle draggers believe a bust up is an intrinsic part of watching football.

Now the dust has settled what do you think of Southgates decisions?
I thought we gifted the initiative to Italy. They kept their intensity levels up with their substitutions, whilst we seemed to want to drag it out for penalties. Game could of went either way, but Italy pushed their luck with fouls on Grealish and Saka, that should of been at least one red card.
Kane and Maguire took their penalties simply and well, the others with their staggered runs just telegraphed their intentions to that giant Italian keeper.
I think if we ever get in the same position again, throw caution to the wind and try to outplay them. The players are there. Younger ones will be wiser, although I wonder if they wonder whether the more experienced players should of been taking those first five penalties?
