Eu referendum whats your vote

Another one I came accross that is worth a chuckle, but oh so true, Harvey

All these pretty pictures you keep posting Harvey make out a great case for Brussels if that’s what London looks like.

I’m even more convinced now.

You do know that the connection being made is that most of them are on your side in being remainers so they can do even less work for their wages by letting Juncker and co rule the country. While the rest are just putting on a good act of being leavers. :unamused:

I made an error in a previous post. So here is a link to Michael Gove`s ideas.
fginsight.com/news/news/mic … kers-64721

It seems that as the current East Euro workers countries get richer, they are less willing to work in our fields.
So he suggests getting in cheaper workers from the Ukraine rather the expensive ones from Romania!
I won`t comment, but will let his comments speak for themselves.

You have to remeber that the man is a Tory. The instinct for paying the lowest wage possible ALWAYS kicks in.

Remainers moaning about Tory’s doing what Tories do to justify staying in the EU.They couldn’t make it up.Strange why they don’t seem to say the same thing about those champions of the Brit working class Tories like Heath,Thatcher,Major and Cameron.

It’s clear that what’s needed is a Hoey led Labour option to shut these remainer hypocrites up for once and for all.Just as we needed a Benn or Shore led Labour in '75.While it’s clear that the Cons are engaged in a massive Machiavellian style false flag operation to derail Brexit just as would be expected from the Party that took us into the EU.With the remainers taking every advantage of it.

Gove wants us to have a greener agricultural policy, and says (Dec 2017) the UK would not drop food tariffs. This is necessary to avoid bankrupting our farmers because green policies are expensive. So farmers need cheaper labour to keep costs down.
Rees-Mogg says (Jan 2018) Brexit means cheaper food imports and clothing.
So, Brexit means cheaper food, and maybe dearer food. And that`s only from 2 of the Brexit supporters!
But Gove is currently in DEFRA, not R-M so there we are.

And what will a “Gove Brexit” do for wages in the UK ?
If East Europeans farm workers are too expensive where will UK wages go for them? No-where because we import cheaper labour.
Driver shortage? Maybe take a leaf from Gove`s book: if UK drivers are too dear, and East Euros are no longer attracted here, then just get in labour from further away.

The difference being that after Brexit we can vote the Tories out and replace them with a government which doesn’t believe in race to the bottom free market economics. All unhindered by EU economic policies over it.

While as has been pointed out Thatcher was a remainer in that regard unlike Benn. While it’s clear that even allowing for non EU post war ‘commonwealth’ immigration wages were still better in real terms, like the economy in general, before we joined the EEC/EU.It really is laughable that remainers haven’t given up trying to play the even sillier idea that the EU is supposedly good for the working class card when they aren’t trying to push the worn out project fear one.

As for remainers moaning about people like Gove when they’ve got Clark and Blair on their side their hypocrisy is laughable.

Unlike Blair and Clark, Gove is a minister who has input into what is happening. Whatever parties are elected on the future it’s only the current one, doing the negotiating. With the sorts of attitudes demonstrated by them what sort of exit deal or New trading agreements can we expect?

And the whole world economy took a nose dive a few years ago. Our membership of the EU would be irrelevant to that.
No one could make the EU responsible for the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could they?

Good morning all,
A thought came to me this morning, not sure this forum will allow it, but perhaps to encourage new members to participate.
We have all listened to arguments for and against, so now lets have our own trial REFERENDUM.
Same rules as the ballot box, IN or OUT.
Any other words negate the vote, hope you all agree with that, (will be hard for sum)
Lets give it 7 days, to cover people working away all week.
Votes counted by us all " Transparency " on the 19th August at 10 am.
Il’e start

A self selecting, non-anonymised, poll of contributors to the “Old Time” forum?
I`ll open a few dozen accounts later on today.

Yes Gove is a minister just like remainers Thatcher and Major and Cameron were and now May and Hammond among others. So we’ve got one bunch of Tories ( the majority ) clearly standing for remain and another bunch laughably pretending to stand for Leave. In which case why are you selectively making the big thing about Tories doing what Tories do in the case of the laughable pretend Leave Tories while totally ignoring the Hoey and Bennite vote ?.

So tell us exactly what evidence would suggest that the EU has ever been anything but a dictatorial race to the bottom free markets exercise which attracts people like Thatcher,Clark,Blair and Cameron and repels people like Benn and Hoey ?.Bearing in mind that the shelves in EU shops are full of cheap Chinese crap made by an effectively slave labour work force and East Euro has made a niche out of supplying Europe with a cheap low wage expectation former Commy thinking workforce. With plans to expand the zb pile ever further Eastwards to take maximum advantage of the potential of even more cheap labour.

As for the world economy of ‘a few years ago’ our economy took a nose dive after 1972 and never came back.

I don’t think it was ever a matter which could be settled by vote because no one has the right to vote the country out of existence and it would have been better for UKIP to have gone along that line than being conned by Cameron’s and Hammond’s bs ‘referendum’.While it’s obvious that the Queen and the forces are seemingly on the side of the country being a subjugated EU member state. As opposed to calling it what it is,treason and her taking action accordingly. While I’d suggest that the leave vote has done enough in that regard and if the Queen and her forces don’t want to defend the country then it doesn’t deserve to survive.

Now just wouldn’t the “Remainers” have wished they could have adopted the old “adage” i.e. " Vote early and vote often" ! Democracy ! they can’t even spell the word !
For what it’s worth my vote would be the same as it was in 1975 “No” and 2016 “Out” can’t wait for the 29th March next year to get clear of the “Frogs”, “Sausage eaters”, Cloggies and the various other Euro groupings that infest The Continent ! Bewick.

Government officials ugh, Buzzer

Boris is putting his opinions out today and if he`s right nothing will change and we will be tied in , at least the Swedes are seeing sense

To be fair the ruling would have been passed,or could be over ruled,by the MP’s.While of course that bastion of workers rights the EU is on message with the whole work until 70 idea because now we’re all going to be living long enough and be fit enough to enjoy our retirement well into our 100’s.Anyway I thought you was a full on Tory Buzzer in which case surely you’d be all for their work until you drop agenda. As opposed to retire at 50 on a decent pension and leave the work for those young enough to get the job done. :unamused:

We can ignore it when we factor in the Economic growth figure for 1972 and unemployment figure and the value of the pound v the dollar and the relative respective population figures then v now.On that note the remainers like to push the value of the pound agenda so remind us again what it was worth in 1972 v the USD and CHF and what it’s worth now after almost 50 years of EU membership ?.

Let alone the highest unemployment rate ever recorded in 1984.While the figure now is still higher than that in 1972 also bearing in mind the differences now in the claimant eligibity regime making today’s figures laughably optimistic by comparison with those of the 1970’s.

Or the fact of the ‘austerity measures’.Caused by the need to meet the debt repayments resulting from inconvenient stuff like our EU contributions and trade deficit.Combined with the lower tax revenues from the lower wages created by the loss of UK industry to Europe and the import of low wage expectation labour under EU free movement rules. With wages having fallen and continuing to fall in real terms.

But like all remainers you already knew that in laughably trying to push non existent economic ‘benefits’ to get what you really want being Soviet style EU Federal rule across Europe.

As always “CF” you manage, without any help, to shoot yourself in the foot with the bollox you spout. Your promotion of retirement at 50 while is fine in the land of Harold Wilsons “Milk and Honey” it was , can I remind you, already tried in Greece , with the help of massive EU handouts of “our money” and we now know what happened in Greece. Oh! and a question “CF” are you a fully paid up member of MOMENTUM ■■? Cheers Bewick.
