I agree wholeheartedly.
Time to move on.
Just accept that the Leave Campaign was a load of nonsense, and cancel Brexit today. It was all based on lies and fear-mongering, so can we please just get on with our normal lives now.
Sorry, but my failure to list all the lies I find despicable, doesnt mean I find others acceptable. And a 2003 opinion piece from Simon Heffer may, or may not, be chock full of lies, but I cant be arsed to bother with it.

Cancel Brexit eh good idea that, we will give you the job of going round and telling those who want to leave the good news and see how far you get, what if the result was the other way round, bet you would not like it if someone challenged you on the democratic result.

‘If’ it was based on lies they were justified lies.Unlike the ones which your band of fascist Federalist scum used to take the country into this Federal zb pile.
So great the EU has a member state of which a massive part of its population hates it and everything the stinking 4th Reich and its flag stands for.Which will multiply in the form of following generations being raised to do the same. While telling them to pretend allegiance to it until the time is right.Bearing in mind that smashing the monster from within, with the help of other Nationalist groups around Europe,is probably a better more doable idea.Than Farage’s stupid referendum stunt based on the premise that its ok for a bunch of traitors to vote a de Facto Nation State out of existence.Good luck with that.

So do you find Operations Mincemeat and Fortitude as ‘despicable’ lies.Spare us the bs when we know that we are both in a fight on opposing sides in which anything goes including the use of whatever deception it takes if any. While ironically we can bet that Boris is working to a false flag agenda on your side as part of that and you know it.
IE difference being that again those wishing to save our Nation from the takeover by a malignant mainland European force are on the right side of that fight and history.Unlike your support of your stinking 4th Reich and its lies and deception and blackmail to further its aims in Germany taking over Europe using men in suits and banks instead of soldiers in uniform using tanks. At least until the point when they can’t resist going for Russia in a war of unfinished business which they’ll fight to the last Brit squaddie and then run crying playing the victim card to their US Federal allies for military and economic help just like they did the last time.

Some of the problem here is that the complicated issues associated were reduced to a simple Yes/No vote in the referendum.
Where is the opportunity for our Great British sense of fair play and compromise? As Andy Zaltzman says couldn`t we have “one week on/one week off”?
The problem is that the EU think they have us with our backs against the wall which is true to a certain extent and this is only due to our inept government, they want us to stay in so they can carry on extracting our tax payers money to frizzle away and live a lifestyle on the gravy train at our expense. None of them would be worth there salt in a proper working environment they have had it too cushty for far too long.
They know that the actions of the remain MP’s puts them in a good position to keep us captured in there evil workings and keep on extracting the wonga but in the end I am certain we will leave the stinking union, maybe not on the 31st of October but it will come in the end and when it does I hope the whole frigging lot collapses and then perhaps we can get back to some normality and reclaim our country back, Buzzer.

Their is no compromise here.Which part of no EU rule to apply here don’t you understand.Including no ECJ juristiction and end to EU contributions and the Common Fisheries Policy and reopening our coal mines and going back to coal fired electricity generation. In addition to the ability to recognise both DOT and EU type approval for automotive imports and the right to make other unilateral trade policy decisions including removal of EU trade tariffs on such imports.Etc Etc.While if you like the EU that much then stay there but leave us out of your pathetic self interest agenda.

Unless Boris has a “master stroke” up his sleeve which he is keeping to himself and his closest confidants for the 31/10/19 when we will leave the EU with no deal I’ll just keep my fingers crossed ! Because it is quite obvious that the Remainers/ Paddies & the EU will not accept any deal which is offered so "*uck 'em " I say No deal it is. The Southern Irish have most lose as they could be back with a similar situation to the Potato famine if they aren’t careful !! Why have they, The Irish , got to be so difficult when if they had continued to use the £ and stuck with the UK they would take no harm whatsoever ! same goes for the SNP over the Border ! they will be destitute shortly after gaining independence and who will get the blame when they are stood at the Border in rags begging for help ? yes you guessed it the “hated English” You could write it down what is looming up if our so called Political Elite don’t get a grip !! Cheers Bewick.
Never met anyone up here who ‘hates’ the English.
Seriously, in all my years I’ve never met anyone who dislikes the English just because they’re English. I’ve met people who shrugged, or rolled their eyes in bewilderment at the English, but ‘hating’ takes things way too far.
Having said that, being dragged out of the EU with no deal (against what we democratically voted for) isn’t the way to make friends.

So we’ve moved on now from our bleating that the majority result of the referendum was unfair to whingeing that the question was unfair because it was a yes/no vote . Clearly there should have been no leave option on the ballot paper then? just various witches potions of remain.

So you’re saying vote for the Cons, while fooling yourself that Thatcher wasn’t just another 4th Reich supporting Federalist who sold out the country to the Germans when she wasn’t selling it out to the Chinese.
The inconvenient truth that Tories are either Federalist liars like LibDems and/or just deluded. As for me I did vote for UKIP until dodgy Tory Farage trashed Batten now who gives a zb let Merkel take the place it’s past saving.

According to the Federalists being ruled by the EU actually means Leaving the EU and the EU never actually ruled us anyway and we can be a non EU member state and an EU member state on alternate weeks as well so what’s not to like.Think of the benefits when we apply that to parliament and we can have LibDems,SNP,Labour,Tories,TBP,and English Democrats all governing the country on alternate weeks. That’ll fix it.

If you find it necessary to resort to “deception and whatever it takes”, that is your choice, based on the strength of your position.
For myself, although I lay no claim to being a saint, I am confident enough in the logic and facts supporting my position, not to need such tactics.

No. We`ve tried setting up a joke, comparing binary choices with a compromise.
Clearly I failed.

Justified lies? Really? Justifiable lies?
That’s ok between primary school kids maybe.
Between husband and wife, well, excusable I suppose.
Deciding a country’s future? Hmm, maybe you should rein things in a little.
Jobs, livelihoods, mortgages, pensions . . . you know, just the basic day to day stuff . . . is that worth a gamble on ‘justifiable lies’?
Oops, just realised, I’m talking to an absolute basket case.

Your ‘position’ did use such tactics from the outset by hiding FCO 30/1048 from parliament and the electorate.

Yes deciding the country’s future just like your mate Heath was doing when he hid FCO 30/1048.The result being a massive trade deficit and net contribution bill and loss of jobs to Europe, running to the IMF for a bail out and nothing but austerity inflicted on the country to pay for the resulting mess ever since. As for you I’ve always known I’m talking to a lying, dictatorial, Federalist traitor like all the rest of your rabble waving their stinking EU flags.Nuf said in that case.

Seems fairly well balanced to me. She wasn`t a fan of everything EU of course, but would she really want us out?
What about this speech?
No government on its own can make a country prosperous. Only the people who live in it can do that—by producing and delivering the right products at the right price, at the right time. If we cannot do that, if we cannot compete on equal terms in international markets, if we cannot earn our living in the real world, then no amount of nationalist myths or socialist illusions will keep the chill winds out.
MARGARET THATCHER, speech to Scottish Conservative Party Conference, May 12, 1979
The EU is as near the “equal terms international market” she talks of, that you`ll find in the real world. She had, as I do have, confidence that we are strong enough to make our way in a a fair marketplace.
No need for us to impose taxes and tariffs, and to build walls around ourselves.
Edit to add.
Thatcher said many things, and many interpret them differently as being pro/anti EU. I`m not a devotee of hers, but find her interesting, and an important figure.
