Thanks to Bald Bloke for starting the original thread. Now members have had some time to digest the deal that David Cameron has negotiated with EU leaders…
Have your views now changed?
I’d like this to NOT become a political thread per se, as BB’s has become one of these.

Just interested to get people’s views. Most polls seem to have the “outs” slightly ahead.
We’ve received no guarantees at all that we’ll stop leeching money to Brussels. Far from it. We’re likely to see an increase in our already massive contributions in the future, as more “new” members line up to join the EU. WE (UK, France, Germany) are expected to pay for everything because we’re supposedly a “rich country” that can afford it.
Well, I don’t feel any richer, come what Cameron has just come back with.
Has any employer rushed to offer a massive pay rise with a “Phew!” to encourage us to support the status quo? - NO!.
I still want to see our public services sorted out. £55m a day no longer paid to the EU would go a long way to doing all kinds of things like police on the bear, more firefighters, and of course a lot more hospital staff that patients can actually understand and talk to.
It’s “OUT” for me then - more than ever.
Pricewise: After an initial flurry of bets taking the price on “Stay In” from 8/15 odds on into 1/6 at one point - it’s now drifted back out to odds-on 1/2. That’s about a 32 point move, with around £1500 available at each price.
Looks like the MPs who have gone over to the “OUT” camp has had some effect on the professional betting community.
with Russia, China and the Muslim empire flexing their muscles , and USA about to elect Trump, I am in favour of us staying in a big, strong, democratic power block.
Seriously worried about my job. I work for a very large Nordic shipping company. I don’t have the experience yet to suddenly walk into another job, plus I like it where I am.

Well I’m sure you’ll get pages of one persons views on everything.
Out
what geographical European country that is not in the EU community that has suffered? Non, they seem to do quite well.
We have a great footing to be a Great Britain again.
Leave. But I just hope people don’t get scared into staying. Don’t listen to the scare tactics talk, read up on it not just trucknet either, read every article you can on the subject.
The hero returns from ruthless, hard negotiating on Britains behalf. Problem is, he has triumphantly returned with NOTHING. As was widely foreseen, he has gained no significant change to our punitive "membership" conditions, or the euro-laws which now control us. Had he overseen any notable improvements, hed be shouting it from the rooftops. As it is, he`s impressively mute.
The fat cat criminals ( MEPs, captains of industry etc.) are the only beneficiaries of this poisonous union. Do they truly expect us to believe that trading will be disrupted to the point of endangering our economy? (said to be the 5th most stable on the planet). Im sick of being told what is best for us by a bunch of amoral, self-serving liars. Dolph will doubtless be along shortly to enlighten us all.

Let us know when someone builds one then.
Last time I looked, we don’t get to have a “stimulus package” - but endless austerity instead.
This all gets by the wealthy, as they have had tax cuts.
This lumps all the financial downside onto PAYE average earners.
This same group, perhaps even the majority of the public - do not actually have access to the cushier bits of “democratic Europe” neither.
No access anymore to 100% residential mortgages at rates close to the Euro/UK base rate.
No access to the more heavily unionized workers rights that prevail on the continent.
No access to one’s own money, if it’s been stolen and taken across a border
No access to life-saving health care, if you’re unfortunate enough to have poor local NHS facilities.
No access to “recall” - the ability to remove an official from office if the public are dissatisfied with their performance
No rebuke to fledgling members - so that any unvetted applicant can steamroller over the rest of us without check.
No border to the free movement of migrants that are neither “legal” migrants nor even EU citizens moving around freely
No powers to Interpol to restrict movement of persons likely to have criminal intent.
No plan from the EU to tell us how our own government will be altered to fit in better with the mainstream EU
All in all, Cameron’s deal is an “agreement to disagree” at best.
I can’t sell the future of myself and all fellow PAYE workers in particular - for the proverbial “handful of beans” that the EU have palmed off Cameron with here.
Now I consider myself a bloke that can be “sold to”. It just hasn’t happened, and I walk away disappointed that my concerns didn’t get put to rest after all.
Cameron has gained nothing to better us, we will still pay child benefit to the ones that have been here for years, why?, if their kids are in Romania, Bulgaria Poland, they should be claiming there, not here, but our child benefit is £20.something for the first child, where as in their own country it’s just 3.70 or so, who are the mugs?, we pay this and that ■■■■ Cameron cannot look after our own ex soldiers who are homeless and the oap’s that survive on 6000 or so per year and yet the immigrants can get up to 22.000 per year in benefits, get the ■■■■ ouit

So only people from EE claim benefits, all others are saints I guess
Hey mister knowledge, its British laws that allow this to happen, not EU. Why don’t you try claiming benefits for your kids in UK, while you live and work in France for example or other continental country!
You can’t because laws clearly say child must live in the territory of the country(whichever country it is).
UK benefit system is more generous then the Soviet style system and thats NOT Romania, Bulgaria or Poland problem, its Downing street problem.
By leaving nothing will change, simply immigrants on visas will be imported and benefits will continue to flow. Mark my words, until you fix your benefit system, no borders will save you from bankrupting.
