STRAIGHT EIGHT:

Here is one of the company i work for when i was loading up about 4 years ago not long before it came off the road about 2006 iirc

This was an early EC, wth the semi-high twin bunk cab ( Leiscter Heavy Haulage had a fair few of these i think) and a modified E series air kit. I believe it was new to R Plevin and had a 14Litre 410 ■■■■■■■■

I was at Plevins when they got these trucks, all were with Tag axles and the “Sovrighn cab” like a coin Im just not that good at spelling

Anyone remember seeing a white EC11 i think it was that used to use the A34 reguarly, it was Spanish registered, only foreign registered ERF i’ve seen other than Aus etc. Would have been 4 or 5 years back i last saw it.

On a side note, this pulled at one of my drops last week

anyone got any pics of the ecx with twin bunk setup with the top bunk at the front like the 4 series topline

The man who started it all off in 1933 Edwin Richard Foden along with is son Dennis.

The very 1st ERF truck to come off the production line chassis No 63 in september 1933 & was supplied to WF Gilbert of Leighton Buzzard.

The production line for the A series tractor unit.

The E series ERF from the 80s
