Not wanting to promote Jeremy Vine. I just caught a part of a BBC documentary today about the possible influx of Romanians. Those who were asked said that they didn’t want to come to the UK, there were more jobs in Romania, or that they would head for Spain and Italy where there are many already on the streets.

One woman who was Romanian said something very astute. “If you want to stop the Romanians coming, change your benefit system!”

I couldn’t argue with her really. The documentary was followed by the court case news of the Philpotts who used to have 11 kids and lived in a council house on benefits. Now they have 5 :frowning:

Hitch has made a delivery to a site where the regular forkie is Polish. Today, because the regular forkie is having some English lessons, the forkie who is new to both this company and Fork truck driving (and possibly didn’t want to be doing this) was moaning about his colleagues absence. In spite of the stand in forkies reluctance the delivery was made with no damage or incident but with regular apologies for the time taken and acknowledging the expertise of his Polish colleague. Where is the problem?

The Polish seem to be the real master race not ze Germans with the difference that unlike ze Germans they don’t mind working for zb all.As for the Brits they might as well give up or move to Canada and let the Poles get on with turning the place into another Poland. :smiling_imp: :laughing:
