Exploited by the English, I’d love to be exploited then, they get a lt more from the government than the English at present, they may have got their arses kicked a few times many many years ago but no living Jock has been exploited by the English nation.
I don’t feeel competent to raise my opinion on that. I just repeated opinions of Scots what I heard here.
ROADRATY:
I do know how the poles feel.try getting work in scotland when your english.
It’s about your common history. Some Scots believe that they are exploitet by English for ages and that’s why they don’t like English. Poles never exploited no-one, we have been rather exploited ourselves, so Scots feel that we have something in common. I never had any problems in Scotland (and I know that my polish friends in England had some problems).

Saying that, they are all savages north of the border & I have proof
See they all live in caves up there
Typical English response That’s if you want to go down the stereotype road, why is it when something negative happens it’s British, and the positive you are English? Some Scots, not Jocks or Scotch, have a natural dislike of their southern neighbours because of the arrogance that they display { 1966 for example } we live in the UK, why not work together and stop bashing each other over the head with snide comments? Over to you John!

Yeah but GSM31 is happy to tar every immigrant whatever his circumstances and country of origin with the same brush. He’s quite possibly a member of the BNP, more borderline racism
Awesome contribution to the debate little man.
Must have taken ages to think those 2 sentences up,well done for getting there in the end.
But then I would ask you: What’s better for Britain: if people are coming here to work, even if they are sending money back home, but they are paying taxes here, buying food, energy, petrol, reenting flats, going to pubs etc OR if british factories will be closed and moved totally to Poland (as they did recently with this flat screen TV factory from East Kilbride)?

seems like that has been happening for a long time already orys with call centres etc being moved to places like India to cut costs. Also ive noticed like im sure any other drivers who are regulars to Holland alot of dutch companies all have Polish registered trucks eg Wolter Koops,Vos,Dasko,HZ etc etc. Is it cheaper to register in Poland? Is it a tax fiddle? cheaper wages? Is it like when british companies were registering trucks in Holland?

It may be. You don’t have to pay road tax, as it’s in fuel. But you have to pay other taxes, so I am not so sure.
Is it a tax fiddle?
I don’t think so
cheaper wages?
Still cheaper, but not as much as it was in the past.
Is it like when british companies were registering trucks in Holland?
I don’t know how is in this case. I think it may be another reason. In Poland you are insuring vehicle, not a driver, so it may be cheaper for insurance… But I can’t tell you that really…

Ooohh, I obviously hit a nerve…
At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion… even me.
And at least I don’t come across as a closet racist
Maybe we should start with a bit of ethnic cleansing… “Get out of the country or else”! Does this remind anyone of that chap in Germany who raised his ugly little head in the 30’s?
We are a country of migrants - all of us! In England, we have no heritage, we come from all over the place and we have positively invited migration when it suits us, so who are we to turn away the very same people we have invited in to this country?
Maybe the government cocked-up, but I’m betting that if it were Poland that had a massive economic boom, then a hell of a lot of English would have moved over there to make better lives for themselves and their families.
I have no respect for anyone who moves to a country to sponge from the state. I have to say though, many Polish and Czech people I have worked with have put a hell of a lot move effort in to their jobs than the English.
I think there is enough misery, hate and racism in this country already.

Another day another pointless post from the little man.
Getting better though, you’re up to 3 sentences now.
Now you come to mention it I’m coming back to London for Xmas & the 1st thing I’m doing is going to the Walworth Road for some Pie n Mash & Jellied Eels mmmmm mmmmm, then I’m going to get ■■■■■■ up on Stella & have a greasy Kebab as I stagger home, funny what you miss when you’re away
So back to the mud slinging, your Avatar, your latest squeeze?
Couple of points, city like Glasgow as an example prob same with most UK cities, high numbers of unemployed the last 5 years, people complaining no work etc…
Yet someone can travel across a continent and walk straight into a job and get paid decent money. Places were still desperate for staff up until the credit crunch, advertising some places for £12 p/h for fork lift drivers and couldnt get staff, having to advertise in Poland. Yet people still on the dole here.
Ok can say well not qualified but the DSS will pay for most qualifications if there is a job at the end of it.
What were companies meant to do close down, know a guy in North London doing courier work, decided to take on more work got two vans, £500 a week 6am start finish about 2 in the afternoon Monday to Friday he couldnt get a single person to work for him, had to sell the vans. Another mate of mine in Glasgow had a business clearing out houses, was paying about £22K a year for a job Monday to Friday unskilled, mostly only half days job and finish again couldnt get any staff had to close down.
Up until recently a lot of these places full of vacanicies, companies desperate for staff and couldnt fill it but still places like Glasgow high unemployment figures, you can’t have your cake and eat it.
BNP type policies get outta Europe, kick all immigrants out sound great till you realise wouldnt be any work anyway because our trade would go down the drain and nothing would work because no one here would do those unskilled jobs.
I dont think everything is rosey, think the playing field aint level. Think more could be done, like poss Europe wide HGV fuel duty the same all over Europe. Think EU regulations on drivers hours should be either loosend up or all countries made to comply with it. Rather than this situation where people from other countries can do whatever they like.
