English 620 V8's

Inspired by an Irish thread, by now there must be a few 620’s based in our little country. Please start posting pictures a.s.a.p. as it seems all the 620’s have ended up in the emerald isle!!

I’m sure there is a 620 that carrys scrap from where we tip in Birmingham… I’ll take a pic If I see it :exclamation:

There was a post ages ago about the white & red 620’s that came from the garage on the A140, but all the images have now disappeared from the post! Doh!

I reckon that apart from some specialist work, i.e. logging, scrap, and also long distance fridge work, there is probably not that much call for the kind of power the engine produces, and in the current climate I suspect the running costs must be eye-watering too - I dunno but I would have thought a 580 would be more than man enough for most work?

Here ya go, I found one of them whilst searching the web…there was a 4x2 one that was run out of Roy Humphreys yard (well it’s not really a ‘yard’ is it!!) by a guy with a fridge trailer as well - in the same colours. I passed it on the M6 near Coventry recently (but I was in the car and that’s the only thing that would have got past him!!!). Second pic shows this truck - culled the link to this image from another post.

This was posted by Kindle last year, belongs to Barry Clarke from Stowmarket I think??

You are correct Paulson! Driven by his son. (kinda makes me wish my dad had a fleet of trucks!)

HOW ABOUT THIS ONE WILL PROBABLY AT OSWESTRY THIS WEEKEND

I have heard from a very good source that PTM ave a 620 now, waiting to go on the road…

I will chase him up for the photo’s and get them up on here…

They have its Y100 PTM, a 4x2 topline 620

Garry George from grendon has one in silver, it takes his racing truck to meetings. Also Lindley Hall Farms have one, I’ll try & get pics…
