Its a shame your standards of literacy are so ■■■■ poor you missed 11 spelling mistakes. Want to have another go?

You’re right; 100% pass is more the exception than the rule. It’s worth pointing out that in most cases, getting a few things slightly wrong doesn’t matter; the consultant should point the errors out without being patronising about it, and the candidate learns from that, to the benefit of both sides.

Unless thats a prat who’s still using questions based on the old tacho regulations :open_mouth:

Went to sign on with a local small agency 2 months ago, filled the forms in and the test questions, leaving 2 unanswered as the answers given to choose from were wrong. When sat with the ‘consultant’ he argued that they were correct. The 2 questions were:

  1. Daily rest compensation must be taken by the end of which following week? a. 1st week, b. 2nd week, c. 3rd week

  2. Used Tachograph discs must be returned to the operator no later than? a. 20 days, b. 27 days, c. 30 days

After 5 mins of agruing with him, I took the form from him, ripped them up and said I didn’t want to register with them and left the office.

I must be an exception then, as I usually get 100% in them :grimacing:

To be honest I would have just written the correct answers at the side of the question and waited to see if anything was said, for instance for question 1 I would have written “No compensation required for reduced daily rest” and waited to see if the consultant was dumb enough to argue.

I feel that doing it this way shows that you know what you’re talking about but have a good enough attitude to show patience with those that don’t :grimacing:

A arrogant G gross E employer N now C cheating Y you. Its all i could think of. I know that i am not anyone special to my agency but i know that my loyalty lies only with myself. And a national agency like manpower with government regulated body that ensured correct training and employment rights were adhered to, may well improve things. But Agencies have a job to and if they did not kiss the legs of their employer they would to loose their jobs

ISTR that was tried with the road haulage industry back in 1948. Where’s BRS now?

Government running driving agencies, god forbid. They can’t even run the country properly!
