I have drove past this camera for months on end and yes i was doing 52mph
Before we get technical i know the limit is 40mph but it has never flashed before
However this week it has flashed me twice and i read this is a new camera that can detect the vehicle size and limit
So looks like i have 6 points coming to my licence grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
WHY did you decide to exceed the limit in the first place?
Do you mean a double flash, or did you go past it on two separate occasions.
Its in a awkward spot if you’re loaded cos you lose the run up for the hill.

Double flash on two separate occasions and both times there was oncoming vehicle on opposite side of road yet when going past it with no oncoming vehicle its never flashed
Just phoned one of me oppos about that one, seems one of his mates got nicked by that camera several weeks ago.
Not sure which direction he was travelling, but i understand that particular camera design can be set for both ways, fingers crossed for you.
The Gatso that used to be a couple of miles further on in between the two three lanes sections was weight/size sensitive years ago.
Was traveling in the same direction as the car with tow box on
I hate speed cameras. Cynical things that are purely a revenue raiser and have no safety aspect at all, except in a very few locations. But if you knew it was there and went past at 52mph in a 40mph…?

I know but as i go past it every night and is never done a thing … then all of a sudden twice in a week 
About 2 miles from our depot. It had been covered over for a long time but has now come back as one of these angular looking GATSOS.
That junction has got a pretty poor safety record as has the A605 for a mile or so around it. It’s most high profile accident being the demise of Rowan Atkinson’s McLaren F1.
it’s not a new thing for that camera to get trucks doing over 40mph
that camera got me a fair few years ago now, so, up until now, you must have been lucky and passed when it has been switched off

Rog, we drive a million mile a year,sometime we get it wrong, not on purpose but we are only human.
If anyone can honestly say they never broke any particular driving law then i will show you a liar. 
we all do it so “he who casts the first stone” etc.
we don’t always decide to exceed the speed limit but hey ho ■■■■ happens sometimes we lose a moments concentration.
as much as your qualifications elude to surely even you can give a little, it’s no longer a perfect world out there for us drivers.
anyone can drive correctly under perfect situations but nowhere on this planet is the perfect situation always available.

As Ive said before, Gatso scamera’s are capable of flashing trucks, its wether they are set up for it that is the question! And unless you can have a look in the back of it’ you just don’t know!

There are atleast 2 of the ■■■■■■■ things down my way that are set up for trapping wagons over 40 on a national speed limit SC.
So it flashed you when you went through whilst speeding, so you decided to try speeding through the camera a second time to see?

I gotta know, what made you go through on the limiter the second time 
Not only 6 points but also £200 fine aswell. 
The night after the first flash I went through at 54 …no flash the next night flash …
Wonder if I will be offered speed awareness course or straight 6 points ?
You should get notice of the 1st offence (with the option of a speed awareness course) a few days before notice of the 2nd offence that is providing as you say they were on different days and you havent been on a course within the last 3years, if so return it asap and take the course and this will save you 3points.
