Electric cars lack of noise

The-Snowman:
Ive long since believed that if you change the rules and make the pedestrian responsible for if they get knocked down rather than the motorist then pedestrian incidents would be drastically reduced.
Much like with cyclists, when you place the entire onus of responsibility and blame onto one party it creates a culture of complacency

if you drive a car down a pavement and splatter a pedestrian,or down a cycle track and create an organ donor, then you would certainly be deemed to blame.
shouldnt it work the same way if a pedestrian gets creamed on any road deemed suitable to have to pay road tax on??

Older people in places like Cardiff. Bournemouth,Portsmouth and many other towns should have no problem with electric cars as they had to cope with trolley buses for many years. They only made a whirring noise and being run over by one would be the only time.

I was fortunate enough to go to Donington Park during the Formula E launch, it’s just wrong watching cars doing that speed with no noise!

Michael Rutter has just broken his own lap record on the TT at almost 122mph on an electric bike.
