Elation

Thanks for the best wishes. Will definitely keep you all posted on how things go.

Plenty of paperwork and theory for this week coming I guess.

You will be glad I’m gone by April

All the best Dean. You’ll certainly have an easier vehicle to drive than the ancient pictures you’ve found of mine!! Feel free to post them on here for a laugh. I wouln’t know how to!

Good luck, Pete

Thanks Peter.

I bet you made some real drivers with this bus…

Thought I’d take a leaf out of Luke’s book and sign up to a blogging site. Don’t expect the video’s yet. May get brave as time goes on.

So for those that want to stalk me (sorry I meant follow my progress  ) this is the link to my blog…

Feel free to add comments. I will try to add to it daily unless it’s been incredibly mundane and boring.

Thought it best to keep my updates to my own blog so as not to make the mods wonder if this is a truck drivers or bus drivers website :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Thanks for all of your best wishes.

I will definitely still be around to help the newbies out where I can.

Thanks to all those who have helped me build up my driving career. You have been (and still are) GREAT

Thanks Peter.

I bet you made some real drivers with this bus…

Yes, that was a “proper” bus! No power steering. Crash 1st and 2nd, syncro (of sorts) 3rd and 4th. Air foot brake, ratchet hand brake. Removed the small driver’s cab rear window for purposes of communication (shouting above engine noise). Top speed about 38mph. But, because it didn’t drive itself, the trainee either learned how to drive with timing and anticipation or they didn’t get far!

And, dear reader, just to put your mind at rest, this vehicle left me c1986. So fear not, it’s all a lot easier now!!

Thanks for putting the picture up Dean and all the best. Pete

Hey Dean,

Best of luck for tomorrow and not only for the training but the job as a whole too. But don’t forget to post the blog link on here for us to read!
