Great to see more pics of your superb work Mr Waugh,
Well the last time I was called Mr Waugh I think somebody was lookin for money, 380streamline you obviously know me but I cant think who you are Cmon own up. Eddie.
hi eddie,
they are superb! love the guy warrior and the commer maxiload unit.how long does a tractor unit take you to scratch?
andrew.
Hi Andrew It all depends on the make of vehicle and how much detail you want to put in. The Brian Harris Erf cab took nearly 3 months as the cab shell lifts off to reveal the interior detail. But I dont rush and usually reckon approx. 3 months for each model. Eddie.

Ha ha, I read the article featuring your handicrafts in Truck & Driver 1996
Ah right that was a while back.
My latest model is a bit of modern tackle a Volvo FM Globetrotter 8wh bulk feed blower so I bought an FH kit and cut 8mm out of each cab panel it was a lot easier than I thought, some of the interior panels have to be cut as well but when it came to assembling it everything worked out fine. I actually spent more time scratchbuilding a new RH dash for it.
Started on the chassis of the 8wh FM now and being tipper spec. it sits quite high so a couple of home made straight axles was called for and as the rear end is a 2 spring set up I raided the spares box and combined with some scratchbuilding I ended up with a fairly realistic bogie and it has plenty of axle travel this one should be able to drag its self out of the deep stuff.Eddie.
Have now got the wheels fitted and she seems to be sitting nice and square the tackle boxes are fitted to the chassis and I am about ready to start cutting out the body sections the body will take some time as there is a lot of bits and pieces associated with the blower but all good fun. Eddie.

Thanks for pointing that out David it’s been built for a good few years and I never twigged that . Eddie.
Just about finished the 8wl Feed Blower waiting on the Graphics coming for it, So had a daft notion to make a Cogi Erf unit into a Code3 skiploader.
Eddie.
Just a wee update had started on this JENSON over a year ago and put it to the side to do some others.
Hopefully when its done it will be in J W Nicol of Kilmarnock livery they ran a few on general haulage finished in Orange and red. Eddie.
Eddie…you are a STAR…with your determination, and steady hands, you have achieved the biggest and best collection i have ever seen…you are a credit to modelling…a credit to this industry…and thanks to your patient wife a credit to your self, whilst i`m on that subject, can i have one on credit…
Well Done, and i look forward to seeing more.

THANKS TRUCKYBOY
Your comments are much appreciated, It’s a great hobby and having been around trucks all my days I really enjoy building them, I have so many ideas of ones I want to do I reackon I will run out of time before I get through them all. Eddie.
PS See you started in 63 so did I 9th march 63 on a Trader and the back end of one of the worst winters in memory it was a great way to get broken in.
Finally got the FM Globetrotter and bulk feed blower body finished, turned out well Iain is well pleased with it
Hi Eddie, always good to see an update from you mate, I really like the Jenson scratchbuild!
cheers
Ian
Well what can i add Eddie ! Thats not already been said !
Absolutely superb, as i can just about remember some of the old firms you’ve built.
The Colvilles F86 took me back, i especially liked how you did the Brian Harris ERF with the mixed multi drop load on a flat. Just how it would have left the yard at Bovey Tracey… Then on to the present stuff, that Iain Watt topliner, what a stunner that is.
All the best and keep us entertained with your work
Cheers
Gunner
Hi Eddie, These must be the best models i have seen, I used to build them myself but they were mostly steam models,I noticed that there is only one fuel tanker that you have built (superb) it would be great to see some of the old petrol liveries on your models, keep up the great work matt.
Thanks for the kind comments they are much appreciated lad’s. Eddie.
Hi Eddie,I notice you stay in sanquhar many years ago i used to deliver to a petrol station there, we dropped fuel at a coal merchants just at the end of kirconnel then delivered the rest to the garage in sanquhar, this was with a company called globe petroleum. i still have the original photos of these tankers from the 1970s,if you ever think of building a model of a fuel tanker from that era, i would gladly send you the photos.
