Eddie Stobart Trucks and Trailers (Episode 3)

The yard shunter sounds like another Mo.

As already covered on another thread…a 420 V8?

JT using his own phone? Muppet. If they don’t provide, then it’s their fault, after all, it’s not like Stobart could give him a locked phone to ring the orifice.

And the rally team maga trailers? Do me a favour. I was pulling a 16’2 double deck around the Midlands today. Now that’s a mega trailer.

Ken.

Yes he does look rather ■■■■ doesnt he

says the man dissecting a programme about him .

ady1:
ive a bad feeling about this episode :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: ,

Does someone lose their three quid fuel bonus? I’m on the edge of my seat…

The rally boys are the envy of the other Stobart drivers?

What about the F1 guys?

Nice to see my hero Juha Kankunnen being interviewed.

Ken.

It’s nice to see our lot aint the only firm that like to run around empty…Empty from Corby to Nottingham, load for Peterboro’ then empty back to Corby■■? :open_mouth:

I thought the shunter guy was a slight pain, However i thought it was going to show a stobart shunter, shunting the trailers to and from the bays.

Plus I thought it might have been better for the driver to drop empty and pick up full instead of waiting around for his pick up, he could just check cargo to the paperwork sign and drive off.

That ramp was quite awesome on the amount of weight it could lift just to tip the load into their hopper.

Quinny:
Nice to see my hero Juha Kankunnen being interviewed.

Highlight of the series, a real genuine nice bloke.

Id love to do that sort of work rally, F1 etc but from the looks of it the drivers get treated like bensons. First there building all the stands, then first there doing all the cooking prep then last there cleaning the plates etc.

The car trailer was pretty impressive, ive never seen an extending trailer in action before. I hope they stop this chilled pish it really makes the programme boring. Cream cakes going from A-B isnt going to sell many dvds, show us some of your specialist loads and different customer demands!

I’ve met him a few times when I used to marshal. (And Ari Vatanen.) And he IS that nice.

JT is 61 and has been a trucker for 47 years hmmm, didnt know the young drivers scheme been out that long

When I heard this I had paper and calculator out trying to make it out… Driving lorries since he was 14? lol… OMG youd think they edit these programs before they went out… WAIT they DO…

judging by the look he got from that driver he told to slow down it makes you wonder if he is like that or was it just for the camera,as the old saying goes “if looks could kill” that driver looked like he wanted to get out and “have a word” with him… :grimacing:

As someone said the crap there showing about a woman driving over teh Dartford worrying about being blown over the side should havebeen dropped for the VERY MUCH SPEEDED up tipping of he chipboard @ Liverpool on that Hydraulic ramp… That looked amazing, yet nothing major was reported on it??

Yeah but he was going some, he must have nearly hit 10mph before being told to slow down?
The cream cakes and a lady driver again?
Riverside bakeries at Nottingham can load a trailer in 15 minutes? Do me a favour, I used to go in there a few years ago and have never seen that! :open_mouth:
And the rally boys? I enjoyed that, I didn’t realise they had to do all that and then cook, and the chef would be all you want after a day like that!!
I also thought the lift thing looked good but bugger sitting in the cab when its going up 70 degree’s.

well another great made for tv program showing a British Company, so lets slagg it off find fault.
well yes is it only girls that carry cream cakes…well alright i,m there

the cometer at knowsley is a heep of junk it doesnt work its out of date ,constantly breaking and slow the best thing they could do with it is lower it and weld it up

   you would end up getting your cuppa all down ya clean stobbie shirt, you certainly couldn’t have a tramper’s truck on there, imagine the mess inside when it gets back to ground level…
