Just recently ive seen quite alot of Stobarts trucks at Felixstowe going on and off the quay with containers, are they getting into this line of work now or is it something to do with Tescos?
Regards

They’ve done this work before out of Felix. And it was nothing to do with Tescos. It was mostly El Doria contract, tins for all the supermarkets.
my conspiracy theory is stobarts are muscling in on maritimes work as maritime are muscling in on tesco.

i really dont know why folks make such a big thing of stobarts/tesco,as if its our only work
morrisons
sainsburys
asda
waitrose
lidl
netto
aldi
costco
co-0p etc, etc, wwe do them all, other than cost-co i go to any of them a sight more than tesco, its like when stobarts took over, all we were being bought for was to do tesco chilled work, store deliverys etc, its never happened, yes if they llost tesco it would have a effect but wed still have more than enough work, on the fridges anyway
A mate of mine who work for stobarts as told me he as been moved of his work and put on containers. He told me there is a lot of work out Felixstowe at the mo for the north. He as been on this for about 3 weeks now
Ok, cards on the table.
I had a phone call last month from a mr Tinkler, asking if I was still looking for some subbies.
So far so good, only trouble is Makro are all out of mars bars, so they’ll have to make do with a quid a mile for now!!!
I just had an email from Tesco, saying they are doing two for one on Mung Beans
Talking of supermarkets does anyone know if Morrisons stll have the 2 for 1 on Bacon ?
It’s seems very quiet around here at the moment. I’ve had no work for nearly 2 weeks on nights and Drivelink ain’t supplied a driver to RCL for over 2 weeks, Days and Nights.
Could have sommat to do with the Chinky New Year.
I think there’s sommat going on with Stobbies and Wincanski.

MSC stands for Mediterranean Shipping Company, share a lot of work with Gold Star, and work out of the same yard in Felix.

I think you may be right, both companies share prices shot up yesterday, ESL by 0.1110 to 163.60, and Wincantoski by 0.11 to 149.75.
There is nothing on either companies websites, but, someone knows something regarding this spike
I wonder if Wincantonski are off loading their “haulage” side, similar to what happened with the “chilled” division ■■?
Just a thought
