Ive had it a couple of times where ive been running out of time when stuck on a bay. I find letting goods in know theres a potential problem either results in load rejection or helpfull options if things go ■■■■ up. Whatever happens if ive got till 6 ill always tell em 5.30 and cards out so by 5 im pestering them to release keys.
Its a right PITA juggling goods in staff, my own planners and the legal requirement to be parked up but let em know early and options normally become available.
Only once have I dropped the trailer and ■■■■■■ off but this particular place was ignoring my concerns so I just did it on the shift change. Got moaned at the next morning and I had to raise my voice a little to fight my corner but all friends in the end.
As far as DVD’s go most of my exotic film collection is on the cloud so providing theres tinternet connection theres always something to watch. Although I do have a special dvd copy of ‘2 girls one cup’ which I cant let fall into the wrong hands.

Hit the search button, or pin your ears back. You’ll have users come on salting them, for anything from wages, through trucks to the uniforms. Then you’ll have some of their drivers, moaning about planners or defending the wages. I think it says more about the individual than the firm. I’ve always said, one mans meat is another’s poison. You have to try things for yourself. If they had a depot in my town, and I thought the job looked ok, I’d try it. And I’ve dished out my share of green death stick in the past. From my point of view, the tramping work looks like it’s the last of that type of work. All corners of the country in one week. In your position I’d give it a go

The problem was dave I wasn’t on a bay , or anywhere I could stop without blocking the complete yard , I wasn’t even out of hours , just not enough time to get from where I was too somewhere too park .
Let’s see what happens tomorrow , disciplinary , but even that’s not certain as t.o are saying I have too do a drop which will mean I can’t get back for disciplinary , bloke involved with disciplinary is saying no your not , you have a meeting , they can just change the job , t.o are saying there’s drivers there you can drop the tri if it’s tight , disciplinary bloke saying how many more times do they need telling , change the bloody job .
Mrs is saying enough is enough , go too meeting , have your say then give in your resignation letter .it sounds a plan
Sounds like your missus is bang on, she will be witnessing first hand what the jobs doing to you.
Hope the disciplinary ain’t to stressful but I’m sure telling em to bollox will be a massive release.

Dozy, scare the [zb] out of them, turn up to your disciplinary naked, except for thigh boots and a top hat brandishing a chainsaw.
It’s a worrying thought. You admit to having frilly curtains and ■■■■■■■ gear. You buy dodgy dvds from blokes at car boot sales. You openly groom young newbies… and now you want dozy to dress up for you? ■■■■ sake man get a grip. We’ll be calling you Dipper Roy soon.

I know, and I actually used to be respected on here once but I just can’t help myself. …maybe it’s a meltdown.
Maybe I need some kind of Counteractive Therapy, like watching the full box set of ‘Eddie’s trucks and trailers’, or get my mate Tachograph on here, to lecture me on the ins and outs of the Working time directive, that should sort me out. .

So why can’t they just get you shunting again for today so you can stop whenever it’s time for you disciplinary.
To be honest if even half of what you say is true then the place is run as a shambles.
The sooner you’re out the better and good luck.
Would love to think you stood your ground (knowing you were in the right) and dropped those tossers in it by telling the disciplinary guy that these type of ■■■■ ups, and impossible schedules are a routine daily occurence, due to their incompetence.
If you did, I will look at you in a different light.

No dave , It was ok ,the hr lady was really nice ,listened too all the facts and looked at them and just said I can see your frustrations over what happened , and understood I did what I did as my head had gone by then ( I’d spent all afternoon banging it against a brick wall )
Just couldn’t understand as vosa bloke couldn’t why I just didn’t write on a printout , but that’s me dave
Anyway dave it’s over with , we move on , just going too do agency until I find out what happens with ministry
happysack:
Dozy. Please tell us if you a fisherman, a troll or just plain, well err, dozy?
To be honest I’d have thought if you were on a disciplinary you’d would have been already suspended on pay?
I’d love too say it was a w/u but no it isn’t , it wasn’t my finest moment , and 13 hrs ( 4 my choice ) parked up at Carlisle isn’t my idea of fun ,( I’m amazed you’ve not heard )
Had interview in morning at Carlisle with ops manager , waited in canteen for hr too look at it , then told not suspended just going through disciplinary procedure and drove the truck back , and have drove it today up until disciplinary , and will until next week when I leave , then agency .
I’ve held my hands up and accepted what I did was wrong , I was mad , fuming , frustrated , my head was gone , I’d spent all afternoon asking for help and got sfa ,hr said I can see your frustration even now

I went in ready for a war , as the vosa bloke said this shouldn’t just be on your shoulders , but you couldn’t meet a nicer lady rob , we talked ( she said I can see your frustrations over it ) and she took all the facts , looked at texts , phone records , emails etc and just said we were originally viewing it as gross misconduct but after looking at what happened were not , you’re not loosing your job , I will though write too you telling you what disciplinary action will be taken ( I guess final written , they have too be seen to do something I guess ) ,I also have too accept that what I did you cant do .
Got involved with inform them when you need too pull out and just pull out , no ifs and buts pull out .
But I’ve jacked , she’s got the best intentions but I just can’t risk it happening again , like the vosa bloke said you can write on your printout once in a blue moon , but twice in a week will come down on you like a ton of bricks , I spent years fighting , ■■■■■■ up , locked up and was young and didn’t give a ■■■■ about it , was back upto it the next week , but I didn’t like that night parked up , I was on my way out but mates talked me round
I’m going on agency until I know what’s happening with ministry if anything , then I’ll look for something where I’m not looking at the clock all day
Where I currently work I have managed to miss two separate disciplinary’s over the years due to being out doing the job
They also send me a letter in the post (Only check my post probably once every two weeks) with a date to turn up instead of just telling me in person before hand. Always makes me look like I have quite the attitude problem and im a rule breaker

As your from up that way ( Carlisle , well I thought you were ) maybe you can answer me how wincanton have got the contract to remove those wire locks from wheels at Carlisle , and if you know where there based round there pop in and tell them if dozy doesn’t get his £80 for releasing his truck back he’ll tell vosa you realeased his truck 15 mins early (2 am ) and not 2.15 ( 9hrs ) .
N.b you’d of though esl would of got that work ,£80 for about 2 mins work , then I could of parked there for free

See that’s the difference , ours are more intrested in £££££££ than disciplinaries , I ended up with 2 x tesco runs , disciplinary , then they wanted me up the road and out for the night ( I came home after disciplinary ) .
I’m just surprised they’ve not found away of giving you a disciplinary through the ISO trac whilst up your pounding up and down the motorways
I’m a bit lost Dozy had Vosa caught up with you and locked your wheel off to make you have enough time off or was that a while ago and did ESL notify Vosa to be there at your dissaplinary to cover their own backs.
