can anyone who worked for hulls tell me if the main colour on the cabs is black or dark blue and is the top half cream or light yellow , im doing a tamira scania R620 6x4 and i want to get a proffesional to do the paintwork for me , its a long term project and will end up costing over a thousand bucks , but i hope the end product will do it justice and look how it would today if hulls were still running.
Yes the top was a cream colour … and the bottom was a dark blue … like a navy blue … hope this is of help … the latter vehicles had a light blue strip going round the cab… between the cream and blue hope this is of help

The Bill who was a transport manager a few years ago did he live at Hitchin?..If so he quite often used to give me a lift home when i lived at Haynes. He had a Vauxhall car reg no NTM999H if my memory is still working. As for Jim Hull he really was a waste of a skin at least Jack was honest and didnt hold a grudge. I left in 1975 but still have fond memories of the job.

Especially for barryg and cockney; I’ve found a few photos. Not entirely sure where I got them from, or who took them. I think Peter Davies did 1 or 2. Enjoy! Can anyone work out who’s in the cabs?
Hi, I worked at Hull’s and I see I was sat in the cab of the F89 and the driver was Reg Williams. I worked with Reg Arthur and Mick over my 2 periods of work with them. Jim Hull, well he was bonkers and how he use to throw some shapes when stress came into his world. I had fun and of course Les Gifford who was my first driver and through him only listening to radio 2 has made me hate that station!!! Slim Whitman, we had 8 tracks of that boring man who I had to listen to!!! I was 17 and into Led Zepplin. Snowy, a great guy and another guy called John who use to work for PlantHaul came to Hull’s who was a great guy. Great reading about Hull’s.

If i remember correctly Reg Williams had ONM269H from new and Arthur Hinson had ATM729C the old Foden then he was given OMJ 496 M.I think Reg had a geordie chap as his mate but I cant recall his name. One of Arthurs second men was Pete ? who was known as ■■■■■■ .Last saw him about 5 years ago in Bedford at a small reunion of some old friends.
