Sounds like usual driverbollocks to me.

I work for DHL and we have no requirement for an end of shift check. They want 20 minutes at the start but when you are finished it’s literally card out, paperwork, book off go home. They have now started waving the big stick and “or else” banner at drivers whose tachograph times don’t match the booking in sheet but common sense to make sure all your entries match up. Maybe my depot is special but they couldn’t care less if the unit was missing a wheel and would send it out like that if someone was dumb enough to take it

The latest blurb from DVSA that I remember reading was that the trial of HATO staff assisting DVSA/VOSA was a success and would continue until the end of the financial year when it would probably be rolled out Nationwide (But I suspect it might depend on who gets elected and what budgets are set).

They did however mention in the article the current HATO/DVSA activity was only in the Doxey (is that how it’s spelt) area of the M6 so I didn’t think the HATO were active in helping DVSA elsewhere.

correct  DOXEY ONLY! :grimacing: I wouldn’t be stopping for them anyway! :sunglasses:

Do so at your own peril, It’s an offence to ignore our directions. I haven’t read of the trial being extended, but then again, what do I know, I’m only a womble crossed with a mushroom!
