Drivers meeting tomorrow

Sorry to hear the news mate and sorry your missus doesn’t have the sympathy she should have.
It seems to me that companies do this sort of thing around christmas deliberately, they have no sympathy for anyone, I’ll bet the top management get a damm good golden hand shake.

What a bummer mate…good luck in the job hunting and all the best with the class 1.

Good luck matey, ■■■■ happens sometimes but we gotta keep fighting, and you sound like your a fighter, not a quitter. Good luck with your class 1, the ol lady will quieten down, shes a bit upset at the mortgage, or maybe one of her dreams has gone out the window for a while, just re-assure her, and she`ll be fine, just stay within your dreams.

Sorry to see the results of your meeting were bad news for you Scarab. Obviously it was an upset & it may have scuppered your mortgage plans for the forseeable future but, I think I’d rather find out the day before signing the mortgage agrreement than the day after. At least you don’t have a contract with the building society that you may struggle to support if you lose your job.

As others have said, you seem to have a positive attitude towards the situation & I don’t doubt you’ll find something. Best of luck with your class one.

Sorry to hear this. I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if this has already been suggested. When I was made redundant 12 months ago myself and the other two drivers asked for funding for further training (again, a small company). We asked for a £1000 and was offered £500 which we gladly accepted.
Worth a shot maybe?

Best of luck pal and chip up.
