No such luck, we / i have been through it all and questioned it ourselves many times, believe me but the unions have it all sown up on that score and according to them, thats the way it is. It stinks.

Well four of our class 2 drivers, including me, are having to find alternative employment.
They are trying to help us as much as they can, fair play to them it’s only a small firm and they are putting the effort in, just a really really crappy time as I was due to sign the papers for a mortgage today.
Mrs hasn’t taken it well, seems I’m sleeping on the sofa tonight! Apparently somehow it’s my fault.
Ah well, the Class 1 is well overdue, got the first session booked for next Tues. Onward and upward eh?

I bet she thinks you are now in training for CE and is comparing that to a boxer in training … no nooky until after the big day 
sorry to hear the news pal i was finished the day after boxing day ive had 3 days work since all you can do is batter every agency and firm you can think of with phone calls cvs etc but more jobs are popping up as they start to gear up for easter

Watched a bit of Jeremy Kyle for the first time today as usually those shows make feel physically ill but you know what, it was actually quite entertaining, was ■■■■■■■ myself most of the way through, hilarious. Best not get in to the habit though…

Still young and got plenty of fight in me yet so I’m not letting it get me down too much, its the older drivers I feel for, 2 of 'em are near retirement age and I’m hoping they find something as I know how hard it can be.
Got the C+E booked for next Tuesday now,but according to the powers that be a test can’t be done till early March, but I’m praying for a cancellation.
As 206Doorman said I do have other irons in the fire, which may just see me in a better position anyway, but I’d rather have a bit of work to keep me going in the meantime just as a bit of backup.
Anyway, I’m not the only one jobless at the moment and there’s always the agencies.
I shall, however, never decent to the Jeremy Kyle level. I’d much rather attach leeches to my eyeballs or watch reruns of IRT on Discovery!
