Drivers Hours - How long, when, Do you know?

limeyphil:
can you shag it? no. you’d do yourself an injury.

Oh, dear, we have missed something out of the app’ brief for sure…

Just to update you, that the app’ is now under way with the brief sent to the developers. Don’t worry, I am not writing the code or making the app and rules that it uses. We have someone else in the industry over seeing this!

Would the ability to see other drivers with the app, near you, to communicate with be a good tool too maybe?

I cant see a reason why you would need to “see” another driver

He’s thinking some sort if social integration into it definatly someone who needs to get some experience under there belt before putting together such an app there’s already 3 or 4 about can’t see what would make yours stand out against the others

NO NO NO, The last thing I want is some other driver electronically cruising for a victim to hear about his time on the balcony or why he’s only driving a rigid now cos he hurt his back when he used to do regular runs to Hong Kong.

I use an app on my android called

‘Trucker Timer’

which has been talked about on here before, and I find it a really handy backup tool.

Theres already one called TTGaurd for the iphone and ipad and i think it works on other android stuff, I have it, it works extremly well, you cant go wrong with it and its on £4.99, i use it everyday (or should i say night?) and its currently sitting here in the background counting my daily break for me so i know at anytime how long ive been driving, resting, otherworking, etc, etc, etc.

Highly recommend it, has been discussed on here before briefly.

Nice one, just downloaded it so I shall ‘dry run’ it whilst I look for a job.

Been off the road for nearly a year looking after my daughter and grand-kids, so back in Blighty and ready for the saddle again.

Was on a delivery to lichfield on monday, and just happend to notice the computer on the goods in was displaying the tacho software, one driver had racked up 11 yes 11 infringments in a week lol.

TBH its quite easy to do. All you need to do is go over working time or driving time by a few seconds and with digi cards what was once undetectable as an offence is now one.
