Driver needs urgent help

green456:
no one should be living in a car in 2012, its shocking, tell her to get onto social services as she is homeless they have to help

Correct! That is the answer and the only answer!

If she gets herself into Social Services they have to, and will, get her immediate accomodation! She will be given a bed in a hostel or a women’s refuge (depending on the actual reason for her homelessness). That is her number one priority before getting a job - and from there (having a proper address) she will hopefully get back into work. Selling her car for a deposit is total madness!

There is a system in place to be used, and she has to use it.

Mjd at dartford worth a try.

wouldn’t want to inflict them on my worst enemy

Still better than no job or home it’s a foot back on the ladder. The kit looks a lot tidier now too.

Instead of staying in the most expensive city to live in in the entire world, why the hell doesn’t she just put some petrol in the car and go drive up the M1 to the Midlands?

Lmao
Life is what you make it, clearly she is a person who wants everything given to her on a plate :unamused:

I’m almost beggining to think this thread was started by Mr Barnett (3 posts) relating to Mrs Barnett.

Mr Barnett is a journalist

Going anywhere is often not possible without income.
But,if you get a Agreement with a Landlord to pay first Weeks in Arear, you could move in as soon as you have Work.
If Work is close you could sell your Car or lend Money on it.Just look for Work which is close to Home and get you ready to find other Employment during Summer before you in same Situation in January
So,TRG for Tsco Welham is a solution.just get Fuel to go there or sell Car to have Money

Let’s see, you’re laughing your backside off at this woman’s predicament (life must be really good for you at the moment - hope you had a great nights sleep), and at the same time - without actually knowing how this fellow human being ended up in this situation - you’re assuming she’s expecting and waiting for other people to sort her life out for her.

I’d love you to come back and explain that stupid, moronic comment. Although I suspect I’ve already answered my own question.

Dear oh dear.

Well said that man. Yeah there are some people who want everything on a plate but anyone can end up on there arse on skid row just because of a few bits of fate.
I’ve been on it a few times but luckily enough I have family and friends round me who helped me out but not everyone is so lucky.

Welcome to Camerons BIG SOCIETY!!! Or should I just say his society :imp: :imp: :imp:

I sincerely wish her well.

Perhaps if Labour had not let every Tom ■■■■ and Harry into the country for the last decade, not signed us all into Europe without the referendum they promised the country, and screwed this country finacially more than any government in living history, there might, just might be more jobs around for people like this unfortunate woman. :unamused:

i find this a little bit odd.
she was working, and got laid off, she had a house, and a car. she could pay for the fuel, mot, tax, and insurance.
but couldn’t find a job in london?
from the time she gets laid off, to the time she looses her house, is a minimum of six months.
but she has failed to find a job in all this time.

i don’t know all the circumstances, but something dosn’t ring true.
i think someone has been given a sob story, and he has fell for it.

How is the car legal without an address, ie insurance etc?

tbh, I can’t imagine being at a point where I can’t find ANY job and pay for somewhere to live, flipping burgers, stacking shelves, sweeping streets etc all still put the same type of gbp in your pocket / bank as driving a truck does.

Don’t mean anyone any harm, but some people put themselves in a bad place trying to stick to what they know, there’s places around here that are ‘work today, paid today’ type places, ok the work is ■■■■ and it’s ■■■■ pay, but it’s money.

Hopefully that place 3 feathers mentioned can help, but it’s got to be difficult getting a job with no address, your licence must match your address, must be someone she can use / is using??

doesn’t say that she lost her house (i.e. as in mortgage arrears etc) but claims she lost her home.
She could have been living with someone who threw her out.
The person who threw her out could also be the person she was working for.
= no home, no job
Why not accept the first post as being honest and move on from there instead of nitpicking holes in the very sparse details provided.

i think the editor of T&D is on a fishing trip. he hasn’t responded to any comments.
this is what all journalists do on this forum. they ask a question, that they know will stir things up, then sit back and watch from the sidelines.
a complete BS figment of someones imagination.

Looking at this today I am leaning towards the same school of thought.

Seeing as it is the weekend I suspect Colin has better things to do than monitor TruckNet. The drivers contact details are not being publicly posted for obvious reasons however I do know those details have been passed onto a couple of people who maybe able to offer help and suppport.

I also know Colin very well and know he has better things to do than post BS on here, we leave that to some of the users here…

History lesson:

It was the tories in 1973 that took us into Europe, when Ted Heath came away from his negoatations and took us into the "Common Market" on the 1st January 1973, he already knew the sumit held three months earlier was delivering the promise made in 1957 to bring about ever closer political union, the Paris Summit of Autumn 1972 agreed the means by which the Articles of the 1957 Treaty of Rome was to be expanded to cover ENVIRONMENTAL, REGIONAL, SOCIAL and INDUSTRIAL policy.

I hope you learn the DCPC better than you learnt history at school!
