I’ve had a fairly distressing conversation this morning with a lady Class 1driver with 17 years of domestic and international experience. As a result of the economic downturn, and through no fault of her own, she has found herself with no job and no home, and is currently living in her car in the east London area. If anyone has any genuine offers of help, like a job, please contact me on TDreaders@gmail.com and will pass them on.

no one should be living in a car in 2012, its shocking, tell her to get onto social services as she is homeless they have to help
Plenty are though and a growing number are living in motorhomes/caravans in laybys and industrial estates as well. (I’m not talking gypo’s here either)
Is this something the Professional Drivers Foundation could help with? I know they can’t give her a job but some moral support may be welcome at this lady’s difficult time, even if it’s only having someone to talk to. My sincere good wishes to her and I hope she manages to find something soon.
I have emailed you; I can certainly get her in front of someone who can help with a job, I can’t promise a job that will be down to her at the informal interview, it is based in gillingham. if she impresses him when they have a chat he will take her on.
