Tell me why you think I am wrong if that is possible but before you do maybe you should do a little research.
Do you agree that there was a similar massive problem in the case of motorcyclists getting taken out by right turning traffic while overtaking through junctions ?.If so tell us what was the solution.Let me guess better education in the use of mirrors by the turning drivers.

totally agree no winners at all and so sad, I still say too many riders have no idea of how much danger they often put themselves in mind.
Agreed. I think part of the problem with road cyclists is that they don’t treat the roads even in the same way that motorcyclists do.
Cyclists often seem engrossed in maintaining their own maximum speed without regard to the need to flow with the rest of the traffic, or even the need to proceed defensively. The exertion of the activity probably affects their judgment and concentration also.
Here Here, having been a cyclist, there’s no way I would drive up the side of a truck cycle lane or not. My thought is "That trucks bigger than me so I won’t risk it!!!

Exactly. With good reason because it isn’t just the massive risk of getting along the side of a truck within a junction. There’s also the issue of cut in,in the case of anything other than going straight ahead.Entry to roundabouts,or getting caught up with the tail sweep, while going through on the inside of a right turning vehicle, being classic pinch points in that regard.

Yes of course Carryfast I forgot you hate motorcyclists as well. You seem to forget motorcyclists are trained to a far higher standard than any car or truck driver.
Out of all the basic tests it is definitely the most complex.
I can honestly say I have never undertaken any vehicle when riding a motorcycle apart from law permitting situations.
Why do you not see a shrink about your problem? lol.
the standard of training can’t be too good

Nothing to do with the training as I am sure you know. More about the rider and the dangers of cars etc that do not see them.
Why can’t the training instruct in the dangers of very predictable rubbish driving of cars and trucks that is now becoming the norm, cyclist seem to get mostly killed by crap driving, and yet they still ride as though other road users are competent. Since retiring I am doing a huge amount of cycling, 5000 miles more last year on a bike then in a lorry. There is no way I would cycle on busy roads or in town centres, the general standard of driving is getting worse and worse, too many people playing with mobile phones.
Oh great, a cyclist debate, where’s boredwivdrivin when you want him?

Hang on what are we talking about? motorcycles or pedal bikes?
I was talking about motorcycles and their training certainly teaches the dangers of other vehicles but as with most road going drivers/riders they do not obey the law especially where speed is concerned which contributes to accidents.
I have ridden motorcycles all my life and am still in one piece but there are certainly plenty who tried to make that not happen.
Anyone who has never ridden a motorcycle does not realise what it is like. Its a bit like a car driver slagging a truck driver for being so slow where as if he had the experience of driving a heavy truck he may have more sympathy.
As for cyclists (being one myself) I agree there are some lunatics about but no worse than any other category and something needs to be done to prevent the horrendous accident rate.
Personally I am like you and will not ride in city centres or busy roads because I know the hatred that some have of two wheels.
As I am sure you know my views on driving standards are the same as you. Gets worse day by day it seems.
